How long did it take u to start drifting good?

If we had nothing to learn, we'd all be drifting like Keiichi, but we're all a long way from that. So just keep an open mind. I suggest practicing whichever type of drift you're worst at. When you get better at that style than your second-worst, then work on your second-worst. There's always room for improvement. That's why I think GT4 will be a revolution in gaming, because combined with the online aspect I could seriously see people playing it their entire life. Granted, the PS2 won't last that long because they made the stupid lense out of plastic, but you get the idea.

mostly oversteer, it was understeering but i put sports in the front and sims in the back, if u try it out its not a bad combonation, now it drifts likea dream with that tire setup

Ah, that's why. You don't put sims on all four corners.

Tricky you ;) I'll try those settings when I have the time :)

I only ever drift on Super Slciks and Normals. I don't like the feeling of sims. I can drift on sims no problem, but what kind of tires have THAT less of traction? come on now lol...

Actually I think sims are pretty realistic in terms of how much grip they have. You go tune an S14 Silvia to 400hp and put Wal-Mart specials on the rims, and try not to peel out in the thing when you mash the gas. :)

You get less of a sense of speed from videogames so it feels like you're going slow.

I thought all you drifters used steering wheels  , I've been trying with the controller but just can't get 'em long enough to be called a 'drift'. I did have a blast with the Denso Sard Supra (without TCS or ASM) in SS5 II (wet) took me a lap to get the feeling of it, but after that I was showing off for the replay cameras :D then again nothing long enough to be worthy of being called 'drift'.
Also, does it seem to you that the S.S. Trueno is more stable drifting than the stock version? It does to me, I love the S.S. :)

4 weeks with just CudaMan's FC3S settings and video to watch. It's been about a year or two since I started, and I am still learning! I use the DS2, nowhere to put my poor GT Force wheel, plus i hate the small turning radius.
