Civics are cool cars and so are their driver's. I have heaps of them wanting to have goes with me thanks in part to the movie Fast and Ferious. The only problems is since even turbo'ed ones are not pushing that much poke, the slapping they get is pretty embarrassing for them and their passengers.
Considering I am pushing just on 300hp at the wheels and nearly 400 hp at the flywheel it is usually a forgone conclusion.
I have seen some nice one done up for show.

Off topic for a sec. Cobraboy do you come into town on Sat nights? If so between 9pm and 10:30pm our club meets at the Mico Bathrooms car park on Stanely street, until summer comes around when we will shift back to St. Heliers park again. You should stop by sometime and say hi. You can miss my car as the P-plate is pretty easy to figure out.

Actually, most of the Civics that I see are driven by grannies with a load of groceries! The FATF crowd can do many things with the plentiful Honda aftermarket, but for all the 'everybody has one' comments and the number of Civics rolling around, I rarely see a cleanly modified H-car...
I havent sat my learners yet, Im hoping to sit it this week before I go on my holiday. If I do come and meet up with you guys with my little 1.3L MONSTER!! RUNNING ABOUT 60HP!!! WOOOOOOO compared to you guys Skylines (I've surfed through you and your friends sites). But I'd much rather come down in a 427 Cobra (yummy) or at least my uncles V8 ('95 Xr8) so if I get challenged by some boy ricers (<~~hey) I'll be able to show them real power! It is my life-long to dream to pull up next to a ricer in a V8 and smoke their ass.

:yawn: indeed. Some version of Microsoft Windows is on more than 90% of all computers worldwide -- not just desktops. I think the recent articles (http://news.search.com/search?tag=st.ne.sr.srch.cnetnews&cat=282&q=windows+flaw) show just how shoddy Windows really is. BTW, that's just on the security front. Don't even get me started on reliability and useabilty.
Dominant forces in the market are almost invariably not the best of breed.

In case anybodies wondering just what a first generation is, (I'm sure nobody cares, heh), it's a 90-94 model. It, the BG chassis, is an extreemly capeable one.
I'll be perfectly honest about this Neon_Duke (Respect and all? :thumbsup: ) I read your posts and was left speechless...

El mano, you talking about the Acura 3.2 CL? Nice car, I personally used to own a Civic, it was my first car. However it wasn't an EM/EK it was a nice 2HG(Non japanese EG6) basically the same. I liked it, I wouldn't mind buying another some time in a future, very roomy car, not to mention If I got one i'd immediatly put a different engine in there, but hey that's me.
Yeah he is. I still can't beleive he sold it for a Civic.
I used to love racing him in it. He'd kill me in the straights but once we got to some turnin, that was it for the CL. Him and my dad both had CL Type-S. I'm dissapointed in them both cus now El mano has a Civic and my dad has a Honda Pilot.
I'm disowning them as family.
I like the Honda pilot personally, desent SUV from honda, better than the passport. Bigger engine, and I don't know his opinion on it, but I would have traded a 3.2CL for a civic, just not the EM chassis. I would have gotten a modified older one, possibly an EK or an EG, but I doubt he wanted a hatch. But that's my opinion.
Actually I like the looks of the hatch and it's fairly functional especially when we moved to our new house...I was able to pack more stuff in the back. I'm not a huge fan of the dinky 15" rims tho...I think Honda could have done a lot better in that department. All in all, it's a fun car to toss around and it's a good commuter car too. It's the best of both worlds IMO.

I don't really like Civics, mostly because I'm tired of seeing riced out ones..though I have seen some nice ones as well. I drive a 97 Accord (until I can get a 240sx) and I'm definitely a fan of Honda's. It's slow, but it's comfy and it gets good gas mileage, and I like the way it looks.

Been a while since I've posted here... but the GTF is down AND there is a Civic thread!
There's my Civic, a 1991 Si. They're very good little cars, although I'm not sure how a Civic will prevent you from getting tickets. You can get a ticket in any car if you drive like an idiot.
Adam B. has a Civic too, his is an EX Sedan, 1997 I think.
