How Many Songs Do You Have in Your iTunes?

I've only got about 1,200 songs. Though there is quite a lot of music I haven't gotten around to putting on . Like RHCP, Dire Straits, Cold Chisel, the list goes on as to what I need to put on there. I'm also missing a lot of Van Halen and there isn't any Toy Dolls. Though every Iron Maiden album and Dream Theater album (except for "When Day and Dream Unite) are there.

And to add: I don't use iTunes, I use Media Player!

In my itunes i have 19,867 songs, 44.7 days, 95.32GBs..
i also have 7303 songs on my PS3 and about 65% of that isn't even on my itunes... I have replaced my hard drive in my PS3 last Christmas so i would have more room... It was originally a 160GB FAT PS3 now it is a 500GB.

I don't use iTunes, but I've got several shelves worth of CD's, and then a big stack next to the shelves, the songs I've ripped to my external drive take up bout 340Gb so far, I don't know how many is there but since they're wavs, there probably aren't that many!

In all honesty, how much of that do you actually listen to? I'm sure over the course of a year you'd pretty much be able to listen to it all, but is alot of it just album tracks, or are they songs you specifically wanted to listen too?

Ah depends on my mood i am in... most of it is full albums... I usually get the whole album and yes on a lot of CDs there are usually a few songs i may not like, but i like to have the whole thing... But i still listen to all of it when i feel like it... You know, enjoy the songs but don't play them out... Come back a while later a and it seems brand new...

About an hours worth. I used to use it [Mpod3] for taking the bus/ train to work during the winter but now that it's not so cold I cycle so I don't need it. I can never think of any songs to put on it. Plus from time to time I just record the sounds of cars trying to set lap records at the 'Ring.

1,854 items. 4.9 days. 10.14GB.

This will increase dramatically over the summer.

About 30 GB and 11,000 files. WMP doesn't really let you be any more accurate than that.

99% of that is ripped from CDs (a process started about 8 years ago) that are part of my dad's music collection. There's still his Vinyl (requiring the USB turntable we have) and tape collection to back up.

And there's about 24 hours of Prince in there alone. Followed by Neil Young, The Cure, Led Zepplin and The Rolling Stones all coming in at over 10 hours of music.

The more songs I put into my library, the more I have to press "next" in the shuffle.

That's why I have a play list of around an hour, Omnis. I started out with a few hours and took off all the ones I skip. Was left with about 20-25 songs.

Why do you guys use up so much hard drive space? I just use Google Music.

Me? Na, a few songs by about one or two artists! :)

I spend most of my day at the computer so I just stream MP3s from Baidu, the Chinese version of Google, it has everything song I can think of without the need to download.

EDIT: What Omnis said.

Because it's a back-up of my dad's CD collection using space that we have no other use for.

Google music isn't available outside the USA.

About 60gb worth but not sure exactly how many individual tracks. I can't use steaming services because the Internet connection I have is slow and the download limit/fair use policy might not allow for it as we currently use 50gb per month on download at the moment so it may take us over our limit.

Edit

Ok here are the true figures for the itunes library.

7304 Songs
52.06GB
574 Albums
23 hours

Thats not all my CD's and as I type this I'm importing two new albums 3 disks in total, Plus I have a few Audio Books that I didn't count and all is Legal and owned in CD/DVDA/BDA

On my iTunes? Zero. However, on my linux music player as of 02/29/12:
16660 songs by 1953 artists on 981 albums in 36 genres, 35 days 10:09:53 of playing time, occupying 92,542,764,000 bytes of disc space.

Not technically true, i'm listening to some of my 4,888 songs from Google Music right now. Admittedly I had to use a bit of a workaround to do so mind!

Well people like me love to collect music.... Always have and always will... I usually download about 5-15 songs a day... Just depends on if i find something i like...

Also i don't trust Google anymore... I don't use it anymore after their new terms of service... In my opinion no one has the right to monitor everything you do.. Since they have decided to do it, set my home network up so they can't

How much of that is legal?

And if it is legal, how rich are you?

Woah, really? I didn't know that. It's great though. Just upload and then you can pull the songs from anywhere. Sure beats dicking around with iTunes just to get music onto your phone.

Also, Google doesn't monitor your history unless you turn on your personal google web history.

I don't have iTunes. But my Windows Media Player library consists of 1,978 tracks and 7.08 days playing time. I will probably be getting a fair bit more in the near future...

 But, FWIW, I have 43 genres. :D

There are a number Classical pieces in my library that are over an hour in themselves. :scared:

What I usually do is make shorter playlists for what I'm studying/listening to at the moment and put those on my iPhone. 👍
