There has to be a special edition, I have a nice collection of special edition games on the PS3, like Fallout 3,Farcry 2, metal gear solid 4, Silent Hill and I have resident evil 5 special edition on pre order as well. all of these where £50 (49.99) and I would love a GT5 special edition I would pay £100 for the special edition. But I have a feeling the only special edition will be a PS3+GT5+DFGT special pack. Or maybe a Steel book edition of the game.

Please no special editions, I don't want my fave game to drop to that level.

Or at least if they do to make it actually worthwhile and not be some crummy map or stupid tin case or other worthless rubbish.

I only say this because Zavvi may soon cease to exist and they were one of the few places where I could nab special editions for the same price as the standards. Although even so, special editions are never worth the extra money.

Went to the store today to look for a game and I came across killzone 2 wich was priced at 72 euro's :scared:. Since it's a ps3 special/only game, I wouldn't be surprised if gt5 is going to cost the same. I'm already saving up my money :).

I guess it depends on how big the game is. Normally games in the UK range between £35 and £50. If GT5 is a 2 disk monster, then I suspect it could possibly be £60.

70 euros is the normal price for "Long Awaited" games. Look at GTA 4 and now Killzone 2.

And if a special edition is released, maybe 100 euros (and I´m making it cheap).

Damm...games are too expensive.

I don't see any reason for GT5 to cost more than any other new games which is about $60-$65 US Dollars. Unless it will be some kind of special or limited edition. At this point I love GT so much I would be willing to put down as much as $200. Not that I'm giving PD any ideas :D

If GT5 had some sort of a 'Special Edition' or something like that, I would pay up to US$120 for it.

how about you? what would be your limit for something like that?

I always say, wait until about 11pm, pop down Asda, and grab yourself a bargain. Its not uncommon to get £50RRP games for somewhere in the thirty squid region. But, I think that the OP might of missed one important aspect about the price of GT5 - the cost of DLC.

I think that Sony is moving towards a micro-transaction business model, Home is a start, but I don't think it has much relevance. I think that GT5 though, will be a very big money spinner in terms of its DLC. I once heard somewhere bandied about that GT5 would be a $600 game (if you included the retail price and cost of DLC)!!!

Come to think of it, if you count all the downloadable packs I don't have limit of course like VIPERGTSR01 said within a reason. I will be one of the guys that just has to have every car in GT and of course every track. :)

I would buy a "SPECIAL EDITION" , if it was offered.I would come off of a $100 dollar bill for one.

I'll pay whatever they want. I'll be there finding a place that will sell it to me from midnight or searching for places to sell it early to me. If a SE edition comes out I'll get that.
