I have another crazy-ass idea: it's the same scam from the 50's hot rod days. What is it, some fancy turbo fan? A "twister" muffler? A large bell? Oh, wait, I know: sunglasses.
No single, permanently-installed component can increase torque 20%. (I don't include Nitrous here, since it's not really permanent.) Unless that 20% is at tickover -- where it doesn't affect much -- this is, at the least, highly dubious. By all means, enlighten us.
unless you're running some pretty heavy boost numbers, (which you're not ), no exhaust will come close to the 20% more torque and/or HP marks. depending on driving style and areas, I will give you a couple mpg tho. every custom exhaust I've ever had installed on my cars has increased that a tad.
