How much?

For me it was easy to justify. I play Forza a LOT. I'll pick up a new game every once and a while like Bioshock Infinity or Borderlands II, but ultimately I always come back to Forza (Horizon not so much).

Even if Forza 5 was the only game I ever played on the Xbox One, it's still worth the $560 considering the hundreds of hours of entertainment I'll get from it.

This is going to be a long 5 months...

I'm el cheapo, I pre ordered the game. :dopey:
Where did you order it from? I read that there was a "Day One" edition, but the Forza site doesn't say who has it. I'm also hesitant to preorder without the acknowledgment of an LCE.

I was really rooting for a cheaper model sans kinect and the TV player which will be incompatible with the UK. A core model with the 500gb drive only would be mana from heaven. Regardless, it's a new Forza, I'll pay whatever it takes. My 360 died Sunday when I wanted to play some FM4 and today my new 360 S arrived. Forza means that much.

Hopefully they won't gash us early adopters with an LCE :dopey:

Like I said in the Xbox thread $500 seems fairly reasonable for what you get (even if many don't want Kinect), the EU prices are seriously skewed though. If both consoles were around the £350 mark I'd have to think twice which to buy but £430 is too pricy. I wasn't going to pay that for the PS3 nor will I pay it for the One.

It's a shame because F5 looks great but I guess by the time I get a One Forza 6 will be out.

Yeah, what's up with that? I saw a few posts justifying why, but then Sony comes out and says, "nah".

To be fair the Sony prices are pretty skewed as well.

$400 directly converts to £252, PS4 is £350 here so £98 more.
$500 directly converts to £320, One is £430 here so £110 more.

The Sony price is just easier to stomach because the US price is obviously lower to start with.

Knowing me, I will probably end up sticking myself for the price of two consoles (just won't happen right away). But Drive Club looks interesting, though not much is out on it, and that opens the door to the PS4 for me. GT6 may be a revelation but the idea of standard cars yet again is a real turnoff for me. Time will tell though, but I can see a PS4 in my house before the XboxOne.
