I'm 22 and whoa at the guy in the post above mine's. I don't know what's more epic, racing 5 hours in an everyday basis, or grinding enough money to buy 70+ F2007 in Prologue.

TB *cough* EvilNeal *cough* Tom Servo Keep your hands to yourselves guys.

Something caught in your throat, Neal?

I'm 61 going on 17 :)

Race 4 or 5 hours a day. Have 72 Ferrari F2007's in my Prologue garage

Now that's a retirement I could work for. My stepdad's 66 and plays tennis everyday.

The term "grinding" has never seemed to apply to GT for me, including Prologue. I simply bought the game on launch day, played it as anyone would, and got caught up in the online aspect of the game. I simply bought another F2007 every time the $2M accrued which wasn't more than every 2 or 3 days. Fact is, I haven't raced Prologue much at all in the last 6 months due to the FTC issue.

Truly epic is the fact that I get to enjoy one of my favorite hobbies in my retirement. I have many hobbies including boating, traveling and producing HD movies, so I don't think that 72 F2007's are any sign of excess to me :)
I just returned from an 8600 mile road trip and have 268GB of video to edit now :)

ANFD 👍, we all hope to be able to do what we love when we retire; I'll probably have to work almost till I 'drop', but will be racing in GT 10 then :)

Just noticed I am a GTP 'fanatic' now after my 500th posting :):gtpflag:

15 here. When I joined I was 12 (yikes!).

I imagine I was quite the illiterate, and annoying little 12 year old, but I hope I've become a more valued member of this forum in the last couple years. I know my grammar has improved exponentially, just by looking at old posts and threads of mine :P

Edit: Wow, TsukubaTrueno got banned?

I think you're doing exceptionally well, noob616!

I was born in 1947 in a small town in Texas.

I was I think 24 when I joined now in that I'm 29... and heading in the big 30 in December....

I'll be Richard Petty's car number in January. (Is Montoya's car number right now.)

Hey guys to work out the average age take the middle age from each poll option and multiply by the total number in that age group
(ie 64 19-21year olds = 20 x 64)
then do this for all ages add all these numbers up then divide it all by the TOTAL number of people who polled. for the ones like 26-29 the middle would be 27.5
and lets also assume that the minimum age is 6 and the maximum age is 70.

Therefore as of this post the average age is.....

23.8 lets say 24

24

btw im 19 and i think there may have been an easier way to do it than what I did but im tired haha.

Wow, us elders (45 +) are the least represented (except for children); I suppose because many my age grew up without electronic toys; but now I get to race cars despite my age 👍:)

No need to 'retire' from virtual racing:tup:

Happy birthday, Noob!
I'm 5364 days old. And tomorrow I'm gonna be 5365!
It's like having a birthday everyday!

It doesn't quite work that way; the 19-21 category, as just an example, could have predominantly 19 year olds. Or the >45 category could skew far more below 50 than anything else. Unless there was a poll option for each individual year, we can't get an accurate average... and that's just of the people who vote, nevermind the members who don't :).

24... although I've been around here since 2003, and actually part of the original GT.com forums since January 2000. A serious question; how do so many youngins get Premium? I'm assuming parents are fine with fueling your GT addictions? ;)

I bought my GTPremium with my own hard worked money.

I noticed I answered the poll when I was 12. I'm 15, almost 16. I've spent a quarter of my life on GTP.

Ah, nice 👍. That's alright, I've spent half my life playing GT!

I was thinking more about the credit card aspect of paying... but I suppose there's PayPal, so as long as there's a bank account, it can be dealt with. And one can always just pay back a parent for the card usage.

And I've spent more than two thirds of my life playing GT. And literally my whole life playing other video games.

And I will jump aboard Rykon's boat. I have played games since I was old enough to know how. The thing is that it hasn't been GT that has kept me going all these years but GTA. I have played GTA since the very first one on PS1....wow.

I've only spend about 4 years with Gran Turismo. Just over one year on GTP. And like 64% of my life with video games :D
Oh, and re. the poll - why not do a group of birth years instead of ages? They would always stay the same. So in five years, I won't be 14 - but almost 25 20. So that wouldn't work with the poll. If it was in the year you were born - it will stay 1996. Not go up, nor down.
Anybody able to clear the poll and create a new one like this?

I need to change my vote to 19-21 since my birthday is coming up this 15th. I love the fact that my birthday is only half a month off of GT5 release date. Which means that it's the perfect timing to get GT5 and the shifters for my fanatec wheel.
