It's a different 370Z. The one we have has a wing, the one being shown in screenshots for GT Academy 2012 has no wing. Big difference I know. :lol:

it could just be a 2012 370z since i heard if im correct that the 2012 or 2013 model was a bit different. ahhh i remember now it was on fast line daily.

The 2013 model is different, but the "fangs" in the front bumper would be gone if this was that model. Doesn't look like that is the case.

Hopefully there will be a 370 RC at some point, yes I know! But I really want one of those! :P

You know, when the car first came out I really didn't like those fangs and made fun of them even. Now that they are gone I miss them! They actually gave the car a lot of character!

With the wind noise coupled to that whine it sounds like a jet's turbine engine, just without the brown-trousers speed.

Don't forget there's also the Spec R Silvia to play with, plus (potentially) six more to come. I wouldn't be surprised to see a game update for GT5 this week, containing all the cars.

It would be awesome if the final challenges looked like this:
Nissan 370 GT4====> Nissan GT-R GT3=====> Nissan GT-R GT1====> Nissan Oreca LMP2!

Hopefully that will be soon, because the GT website is under maintenance right now. Wonder how long it will take?
 
As of 8:49 PM Mountain Time, the Gran Turismo US website is showing that it’s under maintenance. Might mean the prize car answer might be coming soon. Hopefully!

You Must Gold all 5 races in each round to receive the car. GT's official website, once updated will tell how to import the cars to your account.

well if anyone noticed the gtr in the menu it's a gt academy gtr black edition, you can tell cause only the black edition has the led lights on the bottom of front bumper. I predict that the next two will be the spoiler free 370Z and the GTR Black Edition, in that order. hell I would be surprised if they give out 300ZX, R32, R33 or R34.

Since it's obvious the trials get harder it's very possible the performance and difficulty of handling the cars will increase as well. It's more than likely we would get some new, or old, Nissan race cars.

Site is up. "if you clear all 5 events within a round in gold, you will recieve a car that you can use in the 'gran turismo 5' game. If you clear bronze or better youll get special racing gear that can be used on your avatar in gran turismo 5. The timing for distribution and how to recive prizes will be notified on this page at a later date"

Round 3 is gonna be the 370, round 4 is gonna be the GT-R.
Round 5 trough round 8 could be race cars! Hopefully not the SuperGT cars!
I mean, it would only make sense to recreate the GT Academy ladder...
 
For people who are interested but haven't checked the site, here's the link.

They say at the bottom (from the time of this post) that they will let us know when the gift cars will be available. They also say that they will add the notice to that exact page (look at the bottom).

Maybe put that link in the op so people can check it.
 
Hello, hope this is helpful but if you go to the Gran Turismo "EXCLUSIVE" website page for GT ACADEMY 2012 and go all the way to the bottom of the page it gives clearer, more precise, instructions. In a light blue panel by the way. Again, hope it helped, must always ignore things that can be obnoxious to you, never give it the attention it doesn't deserve. Peace & Blessings.

Taken off the gran-turismo website. so I assume it will be update related or free dlc related possibly

I think not more than 8.
The download is probably this big because it is stand alone.
It has to contain the physics engine and those sort of things, not just the cars and tracks.

In some of the tests the water on road surface is also present that would indicate that we would encounter also weather changes in the future events.
So the weather engine needs to be in the download aswel.

Not to mention the visuals. The x ray sculpted cars on the main screen are crazy. That would boost the file size up a bit.

Same as me. Everyone is complaining about another "leaf" but its nice for the one's who don't have DLC;)
