*How to make ICQ work through a Firewall?*

OK. Here's the deal.

I want to try and get ICQ working on my PC at work.

Problem is we have a Firewall that wont let me connect to ICQ in the standard fashion. Does anybody else have the same problem and now a way around it or can someone shed some light on what I need to do??

I don't really want to let my IT dept. now what I'm doing for obvious reasons.

That's the idea with firewall, nothing comes in or out without going through the firewall box, unless you know the admin password you can’t do anything.

There are some options for setting up ICQ through firewalls and I have had it working before on my old PC. Unfortunately I can't remember how the f*k I did it??

Tried everything that site could offer but no real help in the end. Looks like I'm gonna end up ICQless!!! BAstURd:shakehead :thumbsdow :argue:
