How to properly start GT7?

Started another account around Christmas and already have all the invite cars but the Citroen. Curious how long this one will take.
I started my second account about 6 months after launch and I still lack the Citroen invite. However, I have got it numerous times on my main account.:banghead:

I restarted GT7 about a year ago on another account and documented it here:

And here:

There have been 12 "bonus" menu books added for a total of 51 menu books now.
Really???? I am tired doing menu books already:-) Feels like full time job!
The first 39 are the core of the career experience, and you'll see the ending movie (and get some PSN Trophies) for finishing that. While there are indeed now another 12 "Bonus" Menu Books (comprising races; there's also "Extra" Menu Books which are car collection tasks with no races), they're not required for further progress.

You might also find that they're not all unlocked either, as several require very high Collector Levels to unlock them.

Ok, so I have completed 39 menu books. Indeed, I see it goes to 51 now.
The biggest test for me was the Nurgurgring.

Got some cars in the process.

I like the game overall. In fact, I believe it is phenomenal for car enthusiasts. Great feeling to drive these awesome cars and go to historical tracks. I am a lot more into Formula 1 than I am in GT, but the F1 game is exceptionally bad. I like the fact you have Monza, Interlagos, Suzuka, Barcelona and Nurburgring here. Those are classical F1 tracks. Spa too.

Congratulations mate , reaching 39 menu is crucial ( short of ) .
As i see you rewarded with Pagani invitation car which is always welcome as any invitation car of course.

Now it's up to you how you will deal with it further.
You will also be able to run weekly races every Friday and win valuable cars that will save you usually 1million or credits depending on what the rewards are .

The only cars you might need from now on are the C class ones that will help you to clear the Historical menu .
Cars like mazda 787 , nissan R92CP , Porsche, Sauber etc.

My advice from now on is :
Put an amount of credits as a target, for example 5-10 millions or whatever that you won't spend unless is an emergency.
Spend only credits above the amount you put as minimum limit.
That might save you from trouble in the future and am not talking about invitations but mostly cars from LCD that are on about a week and not a month.

Whatever you're up to , take your time and enjoy it .

I think I will try to follow this:
1. Circuit experience ā€”> learning tracks
2. Online events ā€”> competing
3. Continue menu books ā€”> collecting cars

Surprised there is no Silverstone or Monaco.

Don't forget the weekly time trials and challenges. Easy credits for your goals 2 and 3.

This I am not sure what are those. Can you please share a screen shot of where I can find it on a desktop?
Big green box at the top of the World Circuits screen.

The current set will end in a few hours and have a good credit bonus, so... do it quick!

Got a question and hope you can guide me a big.

I wanted to take part in 60 min event in Spa. You get 1.000.000. But you can it for the win only?

I started it and got to 4th place. Then the rain started falling and i started sliding like crazy. Drivers ahead went to pits. I have never done an event like this. Should I refuel, change my tyres? How do I know when and how? Also, what would be the best strategy to pick a car and win wich an event? Thanks!

You'll find a topic about this race somewhere in this forum, with cars, strategies and all.

For the race "conditions" all is written on the pre-race screens. For the weather you won't know before doing the event, but you can look at the weather radar in the pre-race screen, it'll show you the rain radar 1 hour before the race (but not give predictions).

Not sure if some races have a fixed weather scenario, most of the "maybe" rain races I've done recently do not pan out everytime the same way.

If you have race tyres, you will suffer rapidly if the rain is more than just a brief instant. You better pit for inter tyres (you need to buy them before the race I think to be able to switch during the race). You will loose less times pitting for inters than sliding around all the track.

Do you know where you can see the weather forecast while racing? Zoom fully out. As soon as you see that at least the second "colour shade" of rain will hit for some time, change to intermediates (but not too soon as they will go red fast if you drive on a dry track). You will learn how fast and in what direction the rain will come soon.

Thank you very much. Will research the forum. This could be interesting but also time consuming.

Btw, I am surprised there are some obvious cars missing in GT7. Any idea why?
1. BMW M5
2. Audi RS6
3. Ferrari SP3 Daytona

Did anyone go through menu book 41? Where do you get a competitive car for it?

That's the VGT one ? What VGT do you have already ?

These are the 2 I have and Alpine I cannot use as it is above 800. L500R is not competitive on the other hand. I understood I need to buy an expensive Mazda

I have now purchased Mazda LM55 gr.1 and ā€¦cannot use it to compete in menu book 41 as it is above 850 pp. Somehow I went with the reco on the forum and did not verify myself

You can tune down cars to fit PP limitations.

You can add an ECU output limiter and lower it enough to reach the PP limit.

If you put RH you'll have less PP than with RM or RS

And so on.

LM55 is a great car so with some tuning it should be good.

Thank you very much. Fund a video o YT how to tune this car. For some reason I cannot do Performance Adjustments. Would you know why?

Ok, I did fix it. I needed to purchase additional elements and now was able to set up the car. And was able to race.

You need to purchase ballast and power adjuster on the tunning shop .

If you like Spa i will provide you a tune for easy win.

Note tha its crucial NOT to overtake cars under yellow flags cause you're LOOSE the clean race bonus which os half a million .

Also ALWAYS we put the game on Easy level when its about griding .
The reason is obvious, we don't wanna make our life difficult , so slower AI , easier for us .
Also as mentioned above , at races with rain as SPA or La Sarthe we have the weather tap on screen in full out zoom to see what weather approaching and change tyres ( usually only intermediate are enough) before we caught out on track.
Need some experience for that but isn't hard for noone.

Yes, pleaase! I love Spa! I am a Formula 1 fan since 1998 and know all the f1 races tracks pretty well. Driving them on GT7 is a new experience for me as I have only played F1 games till now.

Me to in love with F1 from mid 80's but i loved GT since ps1 arrived .
Now playing with very fast cars aren't in my taste anymore, getting old , slow reflexes , slower eyes etc.šŸ˜‚
It's been a lot of time since i quit Grinding but i was involved very much in the past and we had a nice group here

This measures the humidity on the track. If it's above the first line, it's recommended to use sport or racing intermediate tires. The difference between them is durability: sports have less grip, therefore more durability.

Above the second line and only if the forecast is predicting more rain, go for racing wet.

The key is to anticipate rain a little. If you stop right before heavy rain (when your windshield wipers start working) you'll fly past them. But don't overshoot straight to wet tires. Keep watching the instruments: https://www.gran-turismo.com/au/gt7/manual/race/04

Fuel mix can be managed there as well and whenever you stop, there will be a diamond-shaped figure showing the indicated amount of fuel for the rest of the race.

If it gets too slippery, raise TCS to 3. When the rain stops, and it starts to form a dry line, dial it down to 1 and keep yourself in the dry line.

There you are

And gears
IMG_20250111_163314542_HDR.jpg

Since is in my language ( greek ) tyres are RH ( always)

Note that in that race i always use FM ( fuel map ) at 6 .
That cause rain may come early or late and i want to do only ONE pitstop and at FM6 you can do more than 20 laps while on FM1 only 11 with this set up.

At normal difficulty you must have no problem to win more than easy, laps around 2.23-2.25 are very easy to bring you the win and you will find out at the end why .

It's also possible ( not for you yet ) to do the race on intermediate tyres without even stop for tyres or fuels.

Here is the tab at 2nd page at tunning shop with the two parts in red that you have to buy with EVERY car in order to make pp adjustments etc.

PS

You dive on to deep waters very early but you will find your rhythm when you understand how things work and build your own experience.
And of course, experience can't be bought, borrowed or gifted.
If you want to be friends my psn is as Smoothbore 12 or babis triantafillou , if you like privacy it's ok also .
Happy Spa mate .
