How to properly start GT7?

Ok, I have completed MB45.
Overall, the past 3 have been less exciting and inspiring in terms of ROI:-) I have invested millions and got a few bucks back:-) The 5-6 starts tickets gave me:
1. Cr 5000
2. Engine for 50K
3. Some tuning parts worth a couple of dollars

But, maybe next time! :-))
The last couple of menu books are much less rewarding. If I were you I would switch now to other stuff such as CE. Licenses and Missions are also nice, but pay less.

I got one. For 1M!!! This is the most difficult so far! So fast!!! Any strategy you do? Set up? Tytes?
Super Formula was part of the weekly challenge two weeks ago. Take notes from page 191 onwards:

This was very-very-very intense. Once I got familiar with the speed and track a bit, I did ok:-)))

Ok. So I have completed MB 47 (super formula). Won 2 races and came 3rd in the US. Cannot 100% understand why. I was flat out in the US, driving like an animal with no mistakes. Fastest lap after fastest lap. Only 3rd. The other 2 races I won by 15-25 seconds. Maybe I made a mistake putting a hard tyre for the US.

Ok, completed all 51 menu books. Last 7-8 were retrospectively pointless. Some were very costly and time consuming, but there was almost no reward.

Now I have a few questions:-)
1. What are the menu right next to the main book?
2. How I can now get invites from dealers to get cars and where else you get tickets with rewards offered? Do you get them outside of menu books?

Basically a way to waste lots of money in order to get poor rewards.
2. How I can now get invites from dealers to get cars and where else you get tickets with rewards offered?
You get daily marathon tickets for doin 42,195km, among those tickets, 4* et 5* have respectively 10% and 8% chance to get an invite from any brand that has invite car(s)

Thanks a lot. I see a new weekly challenge. I have already completed all but last. Do not seem to have a very competitive car to drive there at Spa.

Is there a thread where people discuss the weekly challenge from that week?

Did you even open it? It is a bunch of car groups that require you to collect all the cars in each group and receive a reward. You might already have completed some!

I did, but I did not understand what is this and why is this. I understood the first 39 menu books. Another 12 were pointless. I had hope the same cool trend from the first 39 will continue, but it was not the case.
So I wanted to figure out what are the other menus. Looks like you complete them by owning cars?

That is correct. I also failed to notice there were no notifications next to the "extra menus" when I said you might already have some completed. As @Lomic said, the rewards are small especially for completing the real expensive groups. Just keep collecting cars you want and eventually you will probably complete some groups.

Actually you do have one group completed (damn poor vision). Open the extra menus and scroll to find what group is completed and click to receive you reward.

I guess now I have to get lots of money, buy cars and try get gold in f1 tracks:-))
It depends on how you want to play the game. Some people only collect the cars they really want or need for certain events. Since I started in GT5, one of my goals has always been to collect every car in each GT game since. I had every car in GT7 four months after launch! I would hate to try to do it this late in the game with so many cars that have been added plus the price increases for the LCD cars.

Got a few dollars today (2.6M). What do you think I should do….get this car from Legendary or wait for invites from Brands and spend there?
Now that you have finished the menu books, you can literally do anything you want after collector level 50. I would suggest you make a list of all the cars you want to own (either mentally or otherwise) and start picking those up as they show up. It doesn’t sound like your end goal is 100% completion, so that is what I would do.

PS: I’ve been following this thread since you started it and has encouraged me to start a new account and go through the game again. Well done!

I am now collectors level 42 I think. Done 51 menu books. My real goal is to honestly get gold on F1 tracks (eg Monza, Spa, Barcelona, etc). And also own some nice cars. What I do not know for a fact is of I am not going to purchase that Cobra now, will it come back? As I do not have the experience, I have no clue. Practically this car is 1,5 hrs of work.

And as for this thread, thank you. I need to admit that this community is part of the reason why I enjoy the game. I am not sure I came across such forum before. So well done and thank you:-)

I don't know what your intentions are and if you're willing to take every car of the game but as i said couple weeks ago it's better to create a cup of credits ( you will put the limit) so never being broke .

Spending 2.5 millions while have only 2.6 isn't a wise move from any point of view .
Especially to buy a car that you'll never need it for any race and weeklies i guess.

Imagine being on 100k even one million and get the Ferrari invitation 😬 .
If you want cars from LCD, start from the lower price ones unless you want something desperately.
Also wise move is to buy cars from USD that you can't buy at dealer shop and aren't expensive .

Of course it's your call , your choice but being so low at credits usually brings frustration at the future and sometimes despert for a long period.

I do agree! Will keep the money. I was only lacking info on that car and how often it comes back. But now I see that I will have many opportunities to get it.

Every car except invitation ones are rotating, some times they come faster due to weekly races or TT's so everyone have the chance to buy them .
That's how you get the C class cars ( cause of weeklies) to pass neoclassical menu .

Another tip is to keep always ONE car stock ,which means without doing Permanent modifications , such as weight reduction , engine upgrades that can't be removed, wide bodies etc.

Doing just one La Sarthe ( or other , Spa its too long ) per day it's enough to give you 5 million per week ,20 million in one month.
Ok its nothing comparing to the amount you need if you intend to buy all cars from USD and LCD but is a good point to keep it for when you need them.

Save your credits and take it slow .
