I've always kind of wanted to know how ot render my own 3D cars but I have almost 0 experience with anything. The only program I have is paint.net, and I'm not too fond of photoshop personally.

I've got a personal vehicle I'd like to render but I have no idea how to do it and I want it to look pretty realistic.

Yeah I know it's going to be a very in depth learning process, I'm sure.

Photoshop is a lot more simple than a recreating a 3D object, if you want to try it out anyways, I would recommend downloading Blender, its open source(free), and with a lot of effort it can look like a real production program. I use Maya, PD uses 3D Max I believe, both are very expensive, but I didn't buy my copy, as I work in a studio. I could probably recreate your object (was it an ATV?) some close to reality, in about 20 hours. Also visit Turbosquad It is a website where you can buy other peoples completed for free... Ill check it for you real quick for free ATVs.

Edit:There are no free ATVs on turbosquid at the moment that work in Blender.

I was going to do that and/or our truck in the driveway. Depends on what I feel I can handle.

I had Blender at one time and it was very confusing. I had no idea what I was doing so I got rid of it.

Ive been working in animation/modeling for about a year, it feels that way quite often...

Unless you absolutely love computer rendering, I would suggest learning how to render by hand with good old fashion pencils, rulers, and high quality makers. It's a skill worth learning if you're into automotive renderings. I've learned much with the software Solidworks for the computer, but nothing on the computer compares to hand renderings in my opinion.
