So I entered my damaged and dirty viper into an arcade time trial, and it went back to normal. A little inconvenient but it's a work-around for now.

I tried the Arcade Time Trial trick and it worked... do a lap, go for a pit stop and let it finish. Quit. Clean and repaired back to showroom condition.

Cheers
Maybe it didn't work for me as I didn't pit, will try it later thanks.

So how u get cars dirty because mine aint even after rally stages. Is it get dirty only insport mode or arcade races agains AI works too ?

This is still really bothering me. Nothing works. Pit stops, changing cars, competing races... Nothing. My car always stays dirty in the thumbnail and I can't stand it.

I miss GT Auto but for a few more reasons. First, I loved that you could oil change the car, and that oil effected performance. Makes you have to care for your cars. Second, chassis stiffening and motor rebuilds. If we are only gonna have 170 cars, we should have to care for them, and repair them. Seriously. The car wash stuff could be amazing if you enter a race get all dirty, and go wash the car before putting it away for the night, or continue to drive that dirty battle hardened car with the scars to prove it.

NO! NO! You guys got it all wrong!

To repair scratches and paint, you need to get this Body and Paint Repair kit on ebay for $31:

And buy this Paint Buffer and Polisher for about $51 to give your cars and gorgeous shine:

Perhaps an upcoming DLC with Larry Kosilla and Kevin Brown teaching us how to clean and correct virtual paint? :D I can see the 50/50 shots now...

I have one mx5 thats dirty in my garage. Why others clean? Because they all did time trials. ;) they have washers on side road i saw them im telling you.

  This was the funniest thread I've read in a while. I know you just want to clean your car, and its serious, but its a little funny too.

The highlight of the thread would have to be:
"No way. I will not paint over that nasty dirt."

I had a Focus that stayed dirty. I sold it eventually, probably woulda got more for it if I actually gave it a wash first. Never sell a dirty car!

i have over 500 miles on a roadster for a racing league it does seem that millage effects cars, the gear ratios have changed and the car feels less tight, confirmed this by purchasing a new car and was 1.5 seconds a lap faster, lets hope they give us the ability to fix cars ect.

To fix go into your home menu, change car livery, and click the livery you want (originals or custom.)

It is a way to show you use your car. Your badges of honor. Or something I dunno, took me 3 hours to figure it out.

To fix the gearing and feel, reset to original then back to custom in the vehicle menu seemed to fix it for me.
