Im going to try and provide as much information on how to win this event because i know its tricky and aggravating and i too came here for some help to no avail. I just finished this (even though that Toyota 7 was such a dick) using the Jaguar XJ13 i won...for free!
I know, i know, a lot of you, like me have spent thousands or even millions trying to win this event when at most it would only cost you tires and maybe a turbo. Many have said they've completed this using the Countach prize car or the AC Cobra or even a Buick Special, but i have had no luck with any of those even fully tuned. I found out about this Endurance event in A-Spec at Indy. Whats awesome is that you win a Jaguar XJ13, my nemesis from the Historic Cup. After i found that out, i jumped right in. Its a 200 lap race around indy that takes approx. 2 hours to complete with a Red Bull x2011. I know many oof you don't have that car so i would also suggest the Minolta Race Car prize car. These guys will be fast and this will be difficult mentally, so be ready. The Bugatti might work if you can make the corners quick enough, i haven't tried it though. After you finish that, you get the great Jaguar XJ13!
Now comes to the tune. I was having some trouble racing this stock even though it came with a lot of great parts already. I then came up with this tune which helped me make the corners a lot faster. Ill remind you, I've only had the game since Christmas, so I'm not the best racer and definitely not the best tuner but have a go at this. I won by at least 2-3 seconds even with the Toyota 7 at the front of the starting grid!

If all goes right, you should have all the same numbers and a sure win in the Historic Racing Cup! If this helps, I'm glad it could be of use.
P.S. I got the FALKEN* Race Car '04 with my expert car ticket, i like it a lot...
