I voted for "dump it". I don't have a problem with a race manager game as such, but I think that future Gran Turismos should concentrate on the driving itself.

Let's face it, most people (mis)use B-Spec for gathering credits. Is that what Kaz intended? Thus, I'd prefer a gameplay with a well balanced credit system and no B-Spec at all.

perfect, a balanced credit system would be great! I think that a even over compensated system would be better. I am not saying something for nothing but having 20mil cars in this game is kinda far fetched for your average player.

And how is B-Spec not optional now? Refusal to to B-Spec does not in any way limit your ability to play other modes. It just prevents you from attaining 100% or winning every prize car...neither of which are "mandatory" to progress in other modes.

Similarly, playing GT5 at all is optional!

When we say "optional", we mean "not necessary to complete the game".

You're correct. Even playing GT5 at all is optional.
However, by that logic, completing GT5 is just as optional.

Me, despite all it lacks and 🤬, while I fundamentally grind B-Spec in order to get credits, I enjoy it for what it (should) add to the game.
I personally would like to see it expanded in its detail/strategy and have it properly integrated with A-Spec.

For that matter, why have two separate sections?
Let's just have one massive career mode. In most challenges, you drive solo. In others, you're a team manager (and you get more than just a few commands and more feedback than three colored arrows). In yet more, you and AI drivers are the team and you can do things like take properly take on 24 Hours at LeMans.

Peace...

Dump it. In gt4 was useful but now...
It's better if they spend time only for A-spec, in future GT games.

Make it optional, but give us added incentive to try it. For example, as other people above me mentioned, use the Bobs we develop to take on segments of endurance races so the player can take them on at something approaching a sane stretch of time. As for another added incentive, why not allow us to do what the original Forza Motorsport allowed us to do with our Drivatars and go toe-to-toe with our own creations?

Think about it like this: since we trained and raised our Bobs I say we have the right to drive with/against our Bobs (or hell, others' Bobs) to see whose Bob is the Bobbiest and what kind of opponents they really are. It would be great to see these distinct Bob-personalities with their developing strengths, weaknesses, and pseudo-preferences all on the track facing off against each other. Racing against Bobs should also train them somewhat, so leveling up a Bob isn't just grinding while watching races happen, and it's nowhere near as frustrating as the Forza Drivatar method, which had me in fits trying to go around corners perfectly to teach my Drivatar how to round one without crashing in a heap.

And, when your Bob reaches Lv 40 and is dropped from your Bob-raising rotation in B-Spec, we ought to have the option to keep our Bobs for this purpose. This way we get to keep our Bobs and immortalize them in a way.

I think you should keep it. But include what Airrider said, that would be great.

That, along with a speed up option, equal credit rewards(the B-spec endurance race rewards were just pathetic), a larger amount of events, and perhaps a B-spec rally race?

This is an A+ idea, presuming PD would be able to properly implement it.

I voted potato But like many have said the basis for bspec should have been the ground work of GT4, it should not have been separated. I'd also say that it should have been a bit like the drivatar from Forza, where you could train your Ai up (altho maybe not like the way Forza did it), maybe book track sessions so the Ai could get experience in certain cars and on certain tracks.

Not sure what I'd do with the commands, a part of me says it's crap and should be ditch so it's like GT4, another part of me says it could work BUT maintain pace should mean just that....he maintains that pace for as long as he can, not just the 20 or so second duration, that part of Bspec really sucks and it's more like babysitting than instructing a driver. So you could tell him to speed up or slow down until he's hitting a good pace without falling off the track then select maintain pace and he carrys on at that pace...not the current situation of driving slower and slower and slower.

I'd also like to be able to add Bspecs to the private friend lobbies just to have more cars, I have 4 friends and that makes for sparse races. Making it up to 16 with Ai would be an excellent addition IMO and coupled with lack of events and event editor if it could be done with just the host and 15 Ai (using friends Ais) then it could make up for the aforementioned lack of events etc.

Like it was in GT4. I'd also like to see something like the original Forza's drivatar training system. That was amazing, plus my brother used it to create some truly tarded bots which resulted in some hilarious race moments. But the concept was simply brilliant.

Keep b-spec as a driver to help you in endurance races like lemans, you plus 2 other b-spec driver, and not like in gt4, were you can just leave b-spec to race, but make it so you have to.

I'd say: IMPROVE IT, make B-Spec more complex and improve AI. Add more real life racing techniques, be able to teach bob how to take corners, apply late braking, etc.

I'm down with BSpec going back to the way it was in GT4... (I'm aint gonna bother with the 24 hour Endurance Races as my 1st generation ps3 would melt)...

FYI - really wanted to vote for Potato

I'm actually against GT4's implementation of B-Spec. Knowing I always had Bob at my disposal made me VERY lazy so he did the longer races. Hell, even some short ones. :dunce:

In GT5, I have done long races I never THOUGHT of doing in GT4. For example the 9h Tsukuba and 24h Le Mans. Makes me feel accomplished, at least more so then I did in GT4. :sly:

B-Spec should be a Call of Duty type mode, where you must go around destroying bobs to stop them taking over the world. Could you imagine a zombie level :scared: :nervous: :scared:

Potato for me then :)

i would like to see something like the assassins in brotherhood so you can train them while your racing, and you don't have to but when you start endurance races you will want to have trained bobs :P So they can help you. Or maybe even race alongside you as a team.

Make it mixed, but only for the endurance races, no need for B-spec on 5 lap races.
I suppose the majority here is still buying the game to do some racing, not to do some managing.
I would honestly prefer that I could chose 4 pilots to do the 24 Hours races (even the 500km etc.) and like in real races you have some relieve after 1 hour of driving fun.

I would like it the way it was in GT4. Buuuut, since pd did such a crappy job with it and especially A-spec, I say dump it. Dump it until they can get the basic part right. "You wanna act like a baby, I'm gonna treat you like a baby. No more special treatment until you learn to do things right!"
