I was looking at the "Anyone here not..." thread and saw a lot of teens on this forum, so this is a thread for all the younger GTP-ers, hows school? Do you you like your school and classes? And are you doing good in school? And if you could, please share your grade too.

I'm in 7th, and my grades were awesome but are slipping onto mediocre (for whatever reason :nervous:). I think teachers just don't like me. The girls sure do though :D

Good for me. I don't have to return until February. :sly:

That's because you're on Summer break.

I don't care for my school. It's nickname is "the pharmacy". Grades are fine. Friends are great. Most of the other kids are crazy. I'm in 10th grade.

Yep, summer break consisting of two and a half months of sitting on my butt doing absolutely nothing. That's a fifth of a year!!!

Its sucks. Its insanely boringnand Most of my teachers pretty much hate me. My grades are good. And im in 9th grade. Man does school suck...

10th grade: With Homework being 10% of the grade, you can, in theory, pass doing only major assignments, no minor assignments, and no homework:D

Next Week The Midyear Exams

What a coincidence! So do I! I'm spending this week and half of it next week before the big Exam days on Thursday & Friday (I have Spanish so I have Oral Testing on Wednesday, then Written following day). I don't mind either, as I'm getting lots of assistance on troubling lessons.

Other than that pretty well. I maintain As & Bs but I really want to aim straight As.

I dunno, 9th grade is kinda pissing me off. I failed math and I'm just gonna take a lower math because I was in college prep, my teachers are fine but what's making me depressed is how amazing 8th grade was, which was the best year of my life, and now this year's just crappy. :indiff:

Heh Techni you know something i better not Get an F in chemistry just like what i did with Last month Man i hate chemistry & phisycs & maths & all these Scientific geek stuff

Wuv all of those subjects :dopey:

I agree, science is the best of subjects. Right now we're on life science, but I can't wait until next year. We're doing a physics and astronomy kinda stuff. Of course it'll be space at its most basic level; really really dumbed-down.

Science is a terrible subject at our school. The teacher is old, she smells, she only wears crocs and stained clothes. Throughout the whole year we haven't done any hands on anything, everything she does is right out of the teacher textbook, and everything we do is out of a textbook.

Our school gives out a "planner" at the beginning of the year, its an organizational tool to write assignments. Until her the use of it was strictly optional. However she makes us write in it for a grade AND get it signed by a parent. She even makes sure that we use it in other classes, which she has nothing to do with. The grade for this is 50 points every marking period, which with the weird way she grades stuff is about 1/4 of the grade. My friend, has parents that aren't usually around, and (unfortunately for him) when they are around they don't care about him, didn't have any days signed. So now, a very intelligent kid, is getting a C in science because of this teacher.

Today is my first day of class at college. Had an IT 100 class and we learned how to use.......(drum roll).......Microsoft Word. The lecturer is cool though, letting us check Facebook and stuff.

I'm going back tomorrow. :( You just reminded me... Otherwise it's surprisingly good. Apart from a couple of teachers I really don't get along with.

Dear god my history teacher is obsessed with college (as a junior in hs)

No assignments in his class are worth less than 100 points-he has "quickwrites" every day then end up being 1-1+1/2 pages, gives massive group projects (900-1000 points) and has 10-15 page lectures that we have to practically memorize for his 3-400 point tests D:
Last year like 50 parents talked to him because he was giving too much work
And to put it in perspective, i had a 50% in the class because i only did 1/3rd of the summer work and like 1/5th of the first 20-odd quickwrites which were 300 points, got an 87 on a group project and shot up to a 70 0_0

But my physics teacher goes on random rants a lot-spent an entire class talking about Michelle Bachman, rofl

I'm at school right now, though my class tonight is cancelled so we're practising our Thriller dance routing for Spring Festival.

Our school is moving into an all new building as of our first week back, which starts on Monday. Very big event, I tell ya. T'was delayed like GT5, but still...it's there now. 💡

Im going into year seven nervous, i got the academic award from my primary school and got the scholarship to my highschool. So yeah my grades are good.

I'm in morning break atm. Just had english which is boring since teachers changed and I have physics next.

I have a maths gcse exam on my birthday :( (7th march). I'm quite comfident about it since I nearly got full marks on my first unit exam 78/80 :D

I'm currently doing A2 Physics as an external student as I repeated AS Physics in my final year. So all the hard stuff is over now, and none of my uni offers mention it, so no pressure. Everyday I walk to school for physics, do my shift at lunch (MDSA) and then go home again. Speaking of, I need to leave pretty much now. :D

Well. It's decent.

I'm in the 8th grade and just got grades for the first time, and with the new grading system which is A, B, C... down to F. And I think I got mostly C, three A, and two B, and two D. And i think I'm having the best grades in my class. I can't say that I like going to school, the teacher which we have in most subjects is qualified to teach gymnastics (which she's terrible at) and she has us in math as well. :grumpy: But apart from her, it's mostly okay. And I don't like my class, but there are worse ones in my year. Have a break now though, gotta go back next week. :ill:

Boring! My German teacher is rude to us, you ask him one of the most simplest questions and he tells you to shut up. English is just a load of rubbish. R.Es cool though, teacher always gives us a laugh. Science we're banned from practicals after a tap explosion caused by someone in my class. Maths my teacher just confuses me, and everyone else. Chatting to my friends is something I look forward to though.

Year 10. School's okay I guess. Teachers seem to dislike me, as always. I still find myself thinking of other things, aside from work. On the plus side, I'm doing well Business and other subjects, on the downside, I'm still trying to get this girl, we're good friends and everything, but once you've seen me and then her, you'll see why I'll never get her.
