Rubens has gone the fastest of anybody all weekend and is the only one to break into the 18's
Interesting that the Saubers are up there after dramas in the early stages of the weekend

Dissapointing that McLaren aren't fast in pre qualifying -- but maybe that's strategic.

Michael on pole once again, with Rubens making it an all Ferrari front row, BAR claim the second row

No time from Massa, had an engine change and must have elected not to run in final qual and pizzonia finally shows something by out doing Montoya

I'm glad Pizzonia out qualified Montoya. I'm also glad Sato out qualified disloyal Button. Interesting to see that the so called "better" team that Button is moving to is behind him on the grid! McLaren were dissapointing to say the least.

Although, it should be a good race between the Ferrari and B.A.R. teams. I'm hoping it will be at least.

Looks like Sauber found something last night, both drivers reported oversteer gone. Engineers and mechanics will be happy all the work actually paid off.

Glad someone picked up the torch, I've been frightfully low on spare time, my apologies.

w00t for another Ferrari frontrow, I was amazed how slow McLaren were, after all their early speed they did terribly, but tomorrow is another day. I don't think we're going to see Michael getting lapped like last year, but BAR may yet carry the fight to them. Well done to Pizzonia too, I wonder if that's a fuel thing though.

Fuel could be a possibility. McLaren have really dissapointed me -- three weeks of waiting for McLaren to wipe the floor with Ferrari and they're struggling for grip, typical:grumpy:

Yes, I heard that on TV a couple fo hours ago. Pretty bad decision, hows the temperature there today?

Damn, I missed the start. I saw the replay and saw that somebody got bumped. Who was it?

Don't tell me anything, it hasn't started yet:lol:

Not over here anyways;)

Gonna start in oh say 10 minutes here...

Yawn. What are the results? I know Michael got 1st.

It is 1:57am here and i've just been outside playing in the snow. :D :P I found that way more exciting than Formula 1, so i went out a while back (and before the start of the race).

I nearly went for a walk around the streets but i have to go to course tomorrow - although if it keeps snowing then i won't be able to make it in! It is already as deep as a PS2 is think (which is a lot deeper than last year  ).

I love snow. 👍

Lucky bastard. I got to fall asleep on the couch during the race. Although I love my cumfy couch, the snow sounds like more fun.

Was today's race any good? I woke up with my alarm to watch the race and never watched it. I turned the alarm off and laid right back down only to fall asleep and not see the race. The only thing I know about the race is that Schumi won. Any thing happen worth watching?

Figures . . .

And you mean Schumi winning 12 races this year is not exciting? And what about Ferrari already winning the constructor's title?

Could someone tell me about Williams' new nose?

Ferrari also won the constructor's championship on the anniversary of Enzo Ferrari's death.

The new nose is actualy more like the old nose. The Walrus Tusk nose aparently didn't have any benefit over the old style, so they reverted, not that it made any real difference, they are still mediocre.

As for the race, i think it was the most boring of the year (except maybe the first two races, Aus and Malay), after the 15th or so lap the positions didn't even realy change again, nothing realy exciting either.

My thoughts:
  • Hungary should be stopped as a GP. To my recollection, there was NO overtaking - apart from lapping. Massa on Pantano doesnt count as Pantano went off. This track is boring and unexciting. It must go!
  • I want Alonso in a ferrari

That is all.

How about Alonso/Raikkonin in a Ferrari Mike?

The race? Dominated by the man again

To all those who dont like it:
We shall never see anything like this happening again, ever, how can you not get a buzz from this sort of perfomance of 1 man
If you dont like it, push off and watch the lawn bowls or something else unexciting, dont keep posting here that the sport is dull

*end of rant*

Alonso in a Ferrari and Raikonnen in a Mac could be one of the all time rivalries. But i could live with both men in the red machine :D

I like to watch car racing to see battles take place. The strategy of a driver trying to pass another driver that keeps them at bay, the overtaking of another equal racer at the end of a long straightaway, a racer trying his best to keep ahead of another driver, and the fun of watching your favorite driver make a dash for the lead position, or a better position on the field. None of that happened during this race. It was just a bunch of F1 cars that went around the track a bunch of times, with the same outcome as the last couple of F1 races.

You are 100% correct. But people mustnt confuse a poorly designed race track with Michaels dominance. He doesnt make a race boring, the lack of overtaking does.

How can i not get a buzz? Well, it is boring, i can't help but be bored. As for switching channels if im bored, well... i do.

I think that it isn't as much Ferrari's dominance as it is the other major teams are performing realy badly. Williams, McLaren and Ferrari were the big 3, now Williams and McLaren are behind BAR and Renault, not because BAR and Renault are incredibly good, but because Williams and McLaren are terribly bad.

It is all relative of course, you could say relatively the Ferrari has improved alot over its two main rivals and BAR and Renault have improved hugely, but we all know the reality of it is everyone has improved as was expected besides McLaren, Williams and Sauber (the Sauber being a special case since there success is largely due to the 2004 model engine and parts they are getting from Ferrari).

To be honest Bollocks, i was more interested in the snow outside. Mainly because its the first time since 1992 that it has snowed this much.

If there were no snow (i.e. just a normal day) then i would have watched the race. :)

The only reason i watched this race was to see how many people he would lap,i hoped all of them but this is just as good. With me paying attention only to that(during this race only) the race wasn't boring. It's actually quite impressive what Michael did, almost lapping the entire field is a historical achievement.During this season i realized i was watching history beign written, the guy will be remembered as the best F1 driver in history of the sport and i am seeing it all happen wich makes it much less boring.

I missed last year's race, and I'm not even fond of the new track changes. The track is now actually more boring than before.

It was fun watching Massa over-work the Sauber against Pantano (lots of in-car action), but otherwise...this is what I'd call a 3-cupper: Three cups of coffee to keep me awake through the entire event. I fell back asleep before the podium ceremony.

I'd have rather watched the snow falling than the GP!
- i feel like i've had 2 hours robbed from my life!
