Hybrid project

Ok, I'm going about making a hybrid for myself in Gran Turismo 3. But not just some regular old slow hybrid... I'm trying to make the best hybrid possible for the horsepower.

I wanted to try to catalogue my experiences with all the different engines for the sake of helping people in the future decide what to use. I want to first decide which engine has the best characteristics for the sake of getting the ultimate power plant.

I was thinking of getting a larger engine for the better low-end torque curve, and making sure it's an N/A for the sake of even acceleration throughout the rev-range. I would imagine that a larger engine like maybe from the Shelby Cobra or the GT-40 Race car would be perfect. If I got a smaller engine, like say the engine from a Civic, even with the same max horsepower and torque rating, the torque curve would be more even in those larger engines.

Recommend an engine that you think might be good... I'll test it out. I think the Viper engine might be the best in this case though. ;)

Ok, But why a new thread? There's several OLD discussions about GT3 and Not so slow Hybrids! Try the Search engine, It will prove very helpful for you.... This is not a flame but several are subscribed to these threads and when you crank a new one and it's old news, It's make folks like me not want to even take a look half the time beacuse I know it's already been discused, I took a chance this time and more old news, The best possible Hybrid for HP Huh? Sure like to see it.

the best hybrid you can make in gran turismo 3 is with the escudo i made mine and the hp is 123,998hp so all you do is use the codes like turbo and then the power multiplier also if your car goes over a few billion i think or a few zillion then the game freezes i dont know why but when i went over 4,765,864,346,534,678 the game froze the only way to reach this speed is if you fly out of the test course at about 10,000 or 7,000 mph i bet some people have done this before

the best possible hp so far is 123,998 hp that answers your question HYBRIDLVR

What do you mean by "best"? Anything more than 10,000hp renders a car practically undriveable on a normal track - the two fastest track hybrids I've seen had 6,000-7,000hp (and were based on a Mercedes CL600 body and Tom's Chaser body respectively), both capable of sub 30 second laps of Midfield, clean. If, however, by "best" you mean "highest" then you're a LONG way out, as well over 650,000hp is possible.

Yes, my mini cooper is runing around 12,000hp now and I can run the test course in under a minute:D
