use a motor from a turbo car like a 2jz supra or ej20 subaru sti. it wont show the boost gauge in the hub but at least you know the motor is in there

I turbocharged NA cars before with no problems. Working turbo gauge and sound.
But with the Toyota 86, after installing the turbo from the FT-86 G Sports, the exhaust sound disappeared. I already tried changing the exhausts to sports, semi racing and titanium racing but still no sound. Any ideas?![]()
Some cars are like this. The only way Ive found is to swap in a turbochargable engine into it...
I give away cars for free. Add Z_AK and have at it. I have WAY TOO MUCH money, so I can buy EVERY car in the game.... eventually.
How do you remove spoilers off cars? This is the final thing I need to know before I consider myself happy with making hybrid vehicles.
PM me if that is more appropriate. 👍
Anybody here successfully turbocharged the Toyota 86? I can't seem to do it.![]()

I never bought the stealth or chromline but I've created them allBfc_1882The X2010 JP Flag is dlc and so is the GameStop NASCAR and the Camaro ss edge, my question is how come you can make these cars and use them even if you didn't buy them on dlc. But you can't make stealth and chromline cars if you haven't already bought them as dlc. I hope that makes sense.
Click the tick box, it's that simple

@ TehKitten & Nismo34, Nooo... Why does it have to be the 86 with this problem...Thanks for the clarification guys. 👍
Basically if the car is not a turbo or turbo option car the boost gauge wont show in the HUD
and just because you put a NA car motor in a turbo car doesnt mean the boost gauge dissapears. it stays, some you car still hear the blow off valve, and depending on how loud a paricular cars Blow of valve was it can still be heard with a NA motor. My FC with the v8 swap is perfect example of that
Bfc_1882Have you painted this car? Or is it just a picture you've seen?

Not only GT86, BRZ and FRS, as well as Ford GT, Lambo Aventador and Vette ZR1 '09, there might be more ...
Well that sucks... BTW, I think the Ford GT works because I did turbocharged mine with working exhausts. Or maybe you're talking of a Ford GT that isn't premium, in which case I have no idea.
I tested Ford GT premium, inaudible exhaust sound ( tried all exhaust ) when turbocharged even with proper coding ( boost gauge works ) - the reason might be the stock engine has supercharger. Tried to swap the engine with standard Ford GT, same deal.
I had to use similar non supercharged engine from another car model to make it work and now it's twincharged
You might have used another engine![]()
You need to remove the code for turbo sound + gauge to have proper na engine when removing the turbo.
It doesnt bother me at all i love that my v8 FC still shows the boost gauge and has the blow off sound in between shifts. It would be nice if i could put a boost gauge in cars that have no turbo option like when i put the rb26 in the old z car. it doesnt show the boost gauge. but honestly its not like i use it the boost gauge. as long as it drifts like i want it i could care less. I pretty much only glance down at what gear im in certain times
I painted it. PSN is my name if you want to borrow it drives great with 4wd instead of FR.
