I’ve been away a few weeks until tonight, what happened to the quality of races?

Honestly, all the races I’ve had tonight have sucked big time. Tried racing the Manufacturer’s Cup and I get rammed at the hairpin on Lap 1/12. Then at Dragonside I get spun at the First Corner. If it’s not that, it’s some other sod being pushed off or crashed off. Did I miss something? Did people just start being jerks to others or am I just seeing it more now? I never had this issue this much before I had my break.

A few weeks!?, You never leave GT for a few weeks. It's like going away and forgetting to tell or take your girl/boyfriend or forgetting to get someone to feed the pets and then expecting them to be nice to you on your return..........or.....you just had one of those days, Also you are more than likely out of practice/sync. Most of us have been there where you're not quite in sync with the other players online. Give it a day or so and you'll be back into it

Totally agree the number of idiots about today is horrendous. Kaz can stick his monthly batch of pretty cars and start sorting this penalty system out and for the love of god just turn on damage in the online races. I am sick to death of getting pole then have some hero shove me off first turn. At least if there’s a risk of damage these plebs may think twice before ruining people’s races. I would also love to see drive through penalties for anyone who hits another up the rear again this may stop some of the goings on.

Weekends make every race a lottery, a lot more sketchy drivers about. I have taken a heavy S/R hit trying todays events. Down from B to E. The penaltys at Monza are harsh.

Same here I started yesterday rated S and I’m now down to E. I have had 5 pole positions today and have yet to finish a race above 5th. I have lost patients with it now and turned it off. The enjoyment of the game has sucked the life out of it for me :(

Doubt it. S class SR is a joke. I'd say less than half of the people with an S safety rating are actually deserving of it. It's just far far far too easy to gain SR points. I had a bad race a week or so ago where I got punted 4 different times in 5 laps, dropping my SR from 99 to 83. In 3 races I had it back up to 99. It's a good idea they just executed it very poorly and there's a lot of "dirty" S drivers out there that the true S drivers should never be getting matched up with in the first place.

A lot on the quality of races is down to people biting. If people didn't, would the quality be better. I dont totally gree its as toxic as some say. I have had some great pack races lately.

It's the weekend, Sunday no less, with 2 of the worst tracks for bad driving. Sunday afternoon is the worst time for driving. It should clear up in the evening.

The problem usually starts with one dirty driver crashing his way through the pack knocking fast drivers out to the back, who then desperately try to get back to the front since matchmaking put DR.S to DR.D together in the room at max SR.S. Too much DR too lose so they feel it's their right to muscle to the front at any cost causing more trouble.

Matchmaking is partly responsible why one bad driver can start a chain reaction. And sure, some people bite as well. Seeing the same player bumping cars off to win at all cost will eventually set people off. The penalty system isn't doing its job so sometimes people will take matters into their own hands.

Improve matchmaking, make penalties stand until the finish, and force players to give back the position after passing by bumping someone off.

Agree to OP.
Daily C races DRB/SRS tonight were a crash/bump fest.
Didn't expect that as usually I have pretty enjoyable and clean races.

Oh how I feel the same way. I got the game this Saturday and got a S SR after just 3 online races. Granted I am as clean as can be, but that is just way to quick.

For the committed of us there is no problem in requiring more races to get a new rank. Say the system would evaluate your rank every 10th race. If you have been completely clean for say 6-7 of them you move up 1 (!!!) rank and have to do 10 more. 2-3 clean races only gets you sent down. 4-6 keeps you at the same rank. This is simplified though. Ideally the system would spot a difference in going of the track and contact with others. Anyway it should not be possible to jump ranks like I did. E-C-S. You should have to progress the ladder and it should be a time investment on your side.
