There's definitely damage to the engine. Probably like the other damage, it is limited to the event.

I had it happen today, GT4 race, Aston Martin from the manufacturer contract only done a few hundred miles.

Question is, can you still drive this car in other races or is it still "blown"? if you can drive it fine then it's a bug. Simple as that.
