Haha, poor guy was 2nd place the entirety of the race.. and last lap, he ACTUALLY followed my 'overtake' command, and over-took for the WIN!

I mean, WOW... Is anyone else as shocked as me? Or was this just a 'bob-oddity'? hahahaha đź‘Ť
:dopey:

Happened to me also during a race series on the cape ring circuit, almost last turn flying overtake for the win

My Bob has had several dramatic last second wins. To be honest Bob would probably beat me in an even race (except on Daytona. lol)

I was in first but when I said pace up he just crashed I hit overtake on accident? And the he took off like a maniac best lap time he setb:tup:

Haha, dammit.. Well i think i spoke too soon guys.
Now he's moping around Daytona at a measly 120mph around the banks... :( and he's overpowered by about 400hp than the other Bobs!! WTF? LMAO

I haven't done a real race with the B-Bob Brigade for a while as they're grinding in the FGT or (as of today when I hit level 35) the X2010 so they're... a few laps up on second place.

I've made my way through the FGT race and some of those were very close but not last turn close. I'm not, however, looking forward to the NASCAR series. I'm expecting those to be annoyingly close, as well.

I had a similar thing happen to me on a championship series.
It was on the Monza FGT race.

He was 2nd the entire race and it was the 2nd to last lap. I was ready to accept the loss and make it up in the next race so I just kept telling him to maintain pace. Then all of the sudden going into the last turn my Bob late brakes and passes the 1st place guy and just took off.

Haha, damn... Well I'm looking forward to having to buy a new DS3, or two.. When it comes time to do the BobNascar races.. sigh :yuck: LOL

You got to keep him in the red at daytona and hit overtake a lot sooner when he is approaching opponents.

đź‘Ťđź‘Ť Thanks mate!! Finally pulled it off, after about 7 botched attempts...:dunce: hahaha

happened to me in almost every close race. was thinking "im about to lose" then suddenly my driver overtakes.

The easy way to beat the NASCAR challenge is gearing. On the more technical tracks make sure he can out-accelerate the opponents, and at Daytona, give him some extra gear for a higher top speed in the straight. You'll still have to coach them diligently though. :sly:

My B-Spec Perazzini made a last lap pass to win the Historic race at Monaco on his first attempt at it. :D

One of my b-bob company member called C.Norris (you know who I mean?) At the FGT NĂĽrburgring race, I don't know how or why, at the chicane before the straightaway, every other driver spun off, and my driver passed the chicane normally, getting in first place at the first lap

And a last minute victory, a remote race, the Indianapolis oval with LMP's, he was at 7th at the last lap, then he started to overtake every driver in front of him, taking the first place with a diference of 0.022

My bob was on Cape Ring Inside in his 500PP Honda NSX during a seasonal, couldn't catch the RX-7 in the lead, then he guns it down the main straight, nosed ahead and won by 0.010 seconds. Got the "Within One Hundredth" trophy. đź‘Ť

I especially enjoy watching him go all Kenny Block while stressed out after 15 pace up commands back to back. I'll put him in an overpowered car on CH, sit back with a drink and laugh.

My B-Spec driver once won by somewhere between 0.000 and 0.007 (I think the finish tied for Closest finish in NASCAR) in a Audi R8 in the same race after exiting Turn 4 in 4th.
I'd show you pics, but I didn't set the game to save the race replay that time.

You guys are all lucky. My entire Bob Brigade consists of flunkies and stoners.. :indiff: I've never had any moments of heroism from any of my Bobs :(

Just fired my Lv.40 Bob because he spun and hit a wall in my precious Stratos...

But your right there are moments when he truly makes you proud!

This actually happened in my very first B-spec race.

Autumn ring with a toyota mr and he drifted around the outside on the last corner to win the race.

Sadly to this day i haven't seen anything like that again, It was the first one and the last all together.

I made the mistake of hiring as many b-spec drivers as I could, and now they've formed a union and are demanding better treatment and compensation for being bullied...I don't think they're going to be winning any races at the last turn anytime soon

Sorry, but this thing that happened to me earlier needs a play by play dialog to go along with it.

Monoco GP race, starting lap 30. My 1st class Bob, A. Knight, is in 5th place, the other 4 cars are evenly spaced out across a 3 second gap. We finally gained 5th on lap 29, the highest we'd been, and we only got that spot because someone spun, other than that, he's only passed 2 cars all race.

I give up, I tell Bob "we lost, go crazy, do whatever" and prepare to reset to my save (I'm a sore loser :P ) But, I give my Knight a chance, if only for entertainment value. And entertain, he did.

Across the line for the final lap we come, in a stunning move that he didn't make all race long, he dives and brakes hard for the first corner, cutting to the inside. The other car rapidly has to cut his speed, stunned by the maneuver. Knight takes 4th place coming out of the corner and pushes hard up the hill.

Coming through the esses, Knight has caught 3rd, he rides the bumper through the 90 degree corner and they head for the hairpin. He tries to open the door into the hairpin, but it's too tight, he backs off. But wait, his move caused 3rd to enter the corner poorly, there's a tiny little door there! Knight pounces on it like a starving lion, getting on the left side of his victim. They head for the right hander, Knight has the advantage as his rival has to slow down extra for the turn as he can't gas through it normally. Driving on the edge of control, Knight pounds it through the corner and clears for 3rd place.

At this point, I'm screaming at Knight to keep it up and bring it home in first or in pieces. He makes a tremendous run through the tunnel, screaming out the other side. He smells blood, and makes an extremely aggressive cut to the inside heading to the hell rail chicane. 2nd place isn't about to give up without a fight though, and he gives Knight absolutely 0 margin for error between the rail and his car. Knight decides to show off the huge brass weights loaded in the vehicle, and takes the dare from 2nd. Stunned that he actually went for it, 2nd backs off and Knight is by.

The leader has a bit of an advantage, and there's not much track left. At this point I'm jumping up and down begging him to keep up the clinic he's been putting on all lap. He roars down the straight, desperately trying to catch the leader. He brakes incredibly late into the left hander, but keeps Jesus from taking the wheel and powers through. He's nearly got the leader's bumper, but the chicane is coming up. He looks left, then right, but decides to follow the leader through the chicane. They slide left into it, then back to the right. Knight was riding his tail for a reason. He wants the win, and he wants it badly. Coming out of the chicane, he gives the leader a SHOVE, getting the tail end loose. As the leader tries to regain control, the door opens wide. Knight guns it. By the time his latest victim regains control, it's too late, Knight is clear by several carlengths.

He blows through the last few corners like a graceful butterfly on steroids and takes the win in the most amazingly mindblowing display of AI ability I have ever seen on any racing game.

And yes, I have the replay of it too if anyone wants to see this in action :)
