yea. another forza is better than gt5 rant but i cant get over how much more i enjoy forza. I love playing this game. The best thing that gt5 did for me before i traded it in was allowing me to appriciate forza more. i can spend hours just customizing cars alone and the racing is awesome.

lol... I have both and will admit each game has it's pros and cons but I do have more fun playing Forza 4.

Other then wanting about 5 or so city tracks, Forza is close to perfect in my opinion. I love this game and put a few hours each day into it.

I agree. I have both. The problem with GT5 is not that the graphics dont look good it still think the shaders, materials and interior modeling in game is still better looking that FM4. However GT5 single biggest mistake is that when you drive into a corner or steer ever so slighty the screen turns into a powerpoint slideshow. Screantear and lack of solid framerate makes this game hard for me too enjoy. Not too mention Standards and lack of A spec. If T10 gets their hands on next gen material i cant even comprehend what FM5 will be like.

Forza shades it for me, just a more involving game both for the driving side of it but also from a design perspective.
It is a design tool. Friend of mine who is a freelance graphic designer uses Forza all the time, nothing impresses a client when your showing them their new logo you designed......when its on the side of a Ferrari!!

awesome stuff.....he swears its won him work over other people by standing out more... good times.

Not to mention racers using livery editor to see what design would look best on their race or track cars before they commit.....its just too good...till GT5 can offer that...no thanks... creative people flock to Forza.....

Or he can just find a picture of a ferrari and shop the logo on.

Doing custom logos on forza will take longer than making the actual one in AI. :boggled:

I'm hooked on Forza too, which is why I didnt mind the money I spent on the LCE version and the season pass.

Worth every penny

I like both games, but I play Forza 99% of the time now as I love the car selection so much more, Aventador, Huyara, puhleaseee! :)

Same here, I have enjoyed every Forza and played them until the next one comes out. I still have 2 and 3, no idea what happened to my first one.

Working a lot of overtime and taking care of my 6 months old babygirl makes me stare at my rig in envy for long hours but when I get to fire it up... man it feels like Christmas every time!

I get to play maybe 5-6 hours on a good week now where before it was more like 15-20 hours... I guess it will just make my GT2 last longer.:D

I just picked up FM4 in the last couple weeks, as we took the plunge and got a 360 for Christmas. The rest of the family still puts a lot of the time into their PS3 games, but honestly, I've barely touched GT5 since I got FM4. Having played GT5 so much over the past year, I feel as though I've burned myself out on it and was in need of a new experience.

Which brings me to my guilty pleasure in FM4 - painting and decals. I've barely scratched the surface so far, but I'm having a great time with simply trying out different color combinations and recreating the vanity plates from my real-life car 20 years ago. I'm now adding it to every car in my collection.

Don't get me wrong - I still like GT5 - but it was getting stale to me and I HATE its system of paint collecting where I can only use a "paint chip" once and then the color is gone.

So far I've completed 50% of the game and what amazes me about this game is the fact that you may have a favorite car but often all it takes is having to purchase a different car for a specific race(s). This either changes your mind about what you consider your favorite car or just adds onto the list of cars you really like within the game. Earlier today I ended up purchasing a Mazda MX-5 Superlight and didn't think I'd like this car as much as I do. I started off with upgrading the car to A[600] and enjoyed racing it without even tuning it. Later on I decided to go a step further and upgrade the car to S[700] courtesy of an engine swap and some additional parts. The car was fun to drive but also made things interesting considering it was now 86 lbs heavier but also gained an additional 189 hp/122 lb-ft of torque. If you have the time and are willing to give this car a try for a few of the Asian manufacture races and so forth below is a list of the setups I ran. Hope you guys enjoy it 👍.

A[600]

I also agree, that Forza 4 has become my favourite sim. I do still play GT5 once in awhile.

What I prefer most about FM4 is the driving experience (NOT the graphics - but they are better too). I cannot get the same feel on GT5 when the tires start to loose grip and get into sliding - that is perfect in FM4.

Maybe I have to change the settings for my wheel (CSR Elite) for GT5. Any suggestions?

i like the comment about night races and city courses . that would be a welcomed addition.Another thing while we are wishing/requesting. How do you guys feel about racing commentary? I.E. one anouncer for the lower ranked car races and maybe a voice celebrity like Calvin Fish or some F1 guys for the pro series. money would be a huge issue though i would think.

Nothing like that, but what I would like is a spotter; like the one in iRacing, who will tell you if you are about to collide with a car.

Yessir, the collection is jaw dropping :), if only GT5 had some of these cars, well the F40 is in there though.

Just out of interest, why do people want night racing so badly?

For me i could frankly do without it happily, in shift 2 i hated the night racing and in GT5 i hate the night racing.

Yes theres some initial enjoyment from seeing the graphical effects from head lights and also the feeling of the 'unknown' tearing into corners that are dark untill your head lights shine the way....

But i am genuinely wondering why its THAT important a feature. I mean driving round a dark track can get very tiresome very quickly for me.

Again this is no "i am right you are wrong" post, i am genuinely wondering what people love about night racing as i can take or leave but actually find myself think "im so glad Turn 10 didnt bother".

Night racing in GT series and Le Mans maybe a good reason to have it in a game, but anything else, no thanks...

Nooooo no city tracks or coms, It's not ridge racer. It's great because it does not have any of those things ;)
City tracks didn't hurt Forza 1, 2 or 3. How can less track variety be a good thing?

Night racing on the other hand I can take or leave.

i´m realy into the Forza Serie, was a long-time Player with GT Serie, but now i´m totaly in FM, maybe a bit to much.....this game inspired me to do alot more then racing..when u look at my YT channel, i love play a bit around with the visual options and so on(for sure is not possible with online retail version and i would not discuss it...yes yes only for offline use and private fun)

I too have been wondering the very same thing as well.
