I can't get the hunter

Can someone pls help me. Every time I try to get the hunter out of the bace those dam soldiers take me out, I even tryed to fly my sea spiero(sorry 4 the spelling)in then but they kill me before I can even get out, and I wanted to use it before I unlocked the cop uniform.......Someone help

You have to do the mission Copland and then get the cop uniform. I once tried to get in with a Sea Sparrow, barely made it into the helicopter, but then it blew up before I could even fly out of the base. I'd just advise you to wait.

I've busted it out of there without the uniform before (by bike, heli, and plane) but it's a gamble everytime unless you've got the uniform.

Yeah, I got decent at it without the cop uniform. I liked using the molotov cocktails and the rocket launcher to clear the air force dudes out, but they just keep on spawning....

If you land on the northern part of the roof, you can jump down and get to the helicopter in relativly good time, it's just a matter of whether or not they'll shoot it up while you're trying to take off or not that's the question....

i reccomened trying to jump the fences with a taxi (if you have the jumping ablility that it is) you just start from accross the road break through the red and white barrier jump about 2-3 fences and you should be right by the hunter so get in it and take off, i've done this a few times without army guy's shooting at me, also you need to d it with the vice city taxi that is called a taxi when you get in it, not a kafman cab or cabbie or zebra cab becasue the regular taxi has a stiffer suspension so you can jump higher and straighter with it........ hope that helps

Well I just finshed the copland mission and got it.......I did try the taxi trick though and got closer then
I ever got before without the uniform, thanx Acidman.......Now if I can just get used to flying the dang thing

Yep, first door on the left. What i hate is sometimes there is a cop there, and then when you go out with the cop uniform there are lots of cops just swarming outside. It's a nice touch, they would shoot at you but you have a cop uniform on.

I do it with the Sea Sparrow quite often. Just fly in from the back and then the Hunter is all yours - unless the GI Joes are near the Hunter.

There's a Hunter on the first(right) island too. It's in the south near the beach and there's a helipad hidden in the bushes.

Don't know what you have to do it to appear there too though...

To get it there get 100 packages and finish keep your friends close

i can't get the hunter cuz i'm missing 2 packages. but i can't find them! i even broke down and bought a strat guide with a hidden -package map and it still didn't help!

I bet I know where one of your missing packages is - the green mansion. It's inside a room on the ground level on the right as you walk in - you need to enter it via a hole reachable only from the second level.

Thats in the yellow mansion - I hate that package.

That one out in the water on some rocks took me forever to find. Damn package is nearly invisible up against that rock.

also if you've cheated some say that 2 hidden packages dissappear from the game making them impossible to get, but if you haven't cheated try heading over to www.gamefaqs.com and into the Vice city section, they have an excellent walkthrough with the directions to every hidden package so just go through all of those, that's how i got mine

I used that guide for a couple of mine. The rest I used my strat guide.

I have to check one day to see if the Apache is in Ocean Beach, i have 100%, but usually i just automatically go to the Army Base.

when you do finally check if it's not there at the moment just go up the street to the ammunation, turn around and go back to the heli pad, the game sometimes takes awhile to spawn it there
