Hi everyone
i dont know if there is anything special that you have to do to win an F1 but i have done 6 races of super speedway endurance, 4 races of seattle circuit endurance and 1 race of tokyo endurance. Out of all these i have not won a single F1 and im starting to think i may have to do something special. If there is anything at all that you can tell me please!

EDIT:
okay, I checked on your question. As long as you can actually win the car in those races, it's a matter of time and luck. I'm afraid it's just bad luck that you haven't won one yet. Keep trying! Also check the prize car lists and try some other races where you can win the F1.

EDIT again: this doesn't belong in race reports by the way!

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the odds of winning an F1 car is less than the odds of winning any of the other cars.

Anyway, if you are not trying to maintain a 100% record then the easiest way to win an F1 car is to use the 'save reload' (search for it) trick on one of the three (?) series that provides an F1 car as a prize. Then keep re-loading the game and exiting the last race until you get the F1 car you want. The two series are Dream Car Championship the Polyphony Digital Cup and the Formula GT Championship.

IMHO If you're not deep into the game yet the Polyphony Digital cup is the way to go since that series is for unmodded cars.

unfortunately it happens most of the time that you don't get the car you want afer and enduro race. I've read of people doing the passege to colleseo race 5 and 6 times before getting the Lancia Delta Rally Car. As for doing the race series to get the formula one car I think that you need a super license to race in those, which isn't the easiest thing to obtain. Anyways good luck in getting one (even though using an F-1 kinda takes the fun out of racing).

^That is, unless you're racing in the Formula GT Championship. If anyone wants to give the following a try here ya go, worked for me as I expected...(if you have the NTSC version, this MIGHT work for you, or not, if I'm wrong in my beliefs. But it's worth a shot if you're anxious to get an F1).

I read on a site somewhere that if you use a Lancer Evolution in the Super Speedway enduro, you'll win the F090/S. Sure enough, I took my Evo VI (T.M.E.) to that race and won the F090/S in black/orange. With this F1, I did all of the other enduros and never won a single F1 (perhaps you're more likely to win one if you don't annihilate the competition, like I did with the F1).

Just yesterday, I gave the Roadster Endurance a go. I came up with the idea that if I used a slower car (technically, a car with a lower P/W ratio), that I'd have a good chance of winning the F688/S). I bought a Miata MX-5 (for 17,000 cr. ; there's 2 plain ol' MX-5s), and gave it an oil change and some T1 tires (front and back). So I entered the race and was behind the leading LS by like 6 - 8 sec. after the end of the 2nd lap I think (keep in mind my disadvantage in HP, and T1 tires, and most importantly, lighter weight - the combo of lightweight/low HP will keep you out of the pit lane for awhile. Anyways...), but he pits in every 3rd lap; the 2nd best car (the Miata 1.8 RS) pits every 9th lap. I worked my pit strategy in such a way that I pit in 6 times fewer than the LS, and 2 times less than the 1.8 RS and at the same time as them: I pitted every 18th lap. My tires would barely get orange (I never went-off course, but did go over the rumble strips often). Anyways, with that car/pit strategy, I won the race by less than 10 seconds. And, like I thought (being at a disadvantage in p/w ratio, but pitting less) would increase the chances of winning an F1. Think about it...it's like GT4 in a way...the more difficult the race, the more points it's worth. And in GT3, the harder it is for you to win (and you do win) the better your reward. And indeed, I got the F688/S. I have the NTSC version, so this set-up might not work if your playing another...or maybe I'm all wrong in my beliefs here. But the bottomline is, use a car that is fair, or hard to win with, if you want an F1. This seems to make even more sense, when I recall the first time I did this race with a Miata LS (the best or fastest, one you could possibly use in this event) and got the least desirable prize car, the MX-5 Miata in that special color.

You may be right, to help your theory, I've done the super speedway endurance six times with the "rubber band" trick, and won five chevy cr5s and one clio race car. using the escudo. I'll try it with a lancer when I get home from work. How modded was your lancer?

The first formula 1 car i ever won was at SSR11 endurance with the toyota gt1. That was my first try at that particular race. The second time around i won another F1 car. Mabey im just lucky but ive found that race to be quiet rewarding.

It has been proven, repeatedly, that the prize car allocation is RANDOM.

I did the Super Speedway Enduro myself (no rubber bands) with an 1150HP Zonda C12 S and I got the F1. And let me tell you, by NO means is that car underpowered. I won by like 17 laps. lmfao It was great. Anyhow, just race, and race, and race, and race, and of course, race, and eventually you MIGHT get an F1. I'm on my quest for a 2nd one.

I just did the Seattle Enduro WITH my F/090S and won ANOTHER F1 car! I got the F/688S. So that's proof that handicapping the race so you have a slower car doesn't increase your odds, just your workload. On the other hand, it would make it more of an exciting race. Then again, I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to waste 2 hours of my life on one race, lose, and consider it exciting... lol

Famine
It has been proven, repeatedly, that the prize car allocation is RANDOM.

Was it tested for series races only? Or also for enduros? I know it's random in series races, but it seems to me that certain cars will win you a certain car in a certain endurance race. But it could just be me.

Famine is correct. The allocation of prize cars is RANDOM, except for single race events, so stop questiong what others have already said several times.

To be fair, there's nothing wrong with questioning, but if he looked around he could probably uncover Der Alta's test without having to question.

A questioning mind is always good, but not ideally partnered by an hyperactive mouth (fingers? Whatever).

It's Random in the Endurance races also, I used the one Lap Trick to be sure! Out of 10 Endurance 1 lap races I won only 3 F1 Cars, To do these races correctly will take all day with a great chance of lesser F1 results!

Well if the GT3 section of the Gameshark site wasn't down right now, I'd be able to get that code for you.

Well, you can either use codebreaker, gameshark or other cheating device fo get an f1 car. I used code breaker and I used the "Instant Win Cheat" in codebreaker. So then, I went to the enjurance races and I raced every one until I got the cars I want. This works for single races, tournaments and rally in simulation mode. And it works in arcade mode, too! :sly:
