I don't want to be a Spectator...

Ok so the other day i join an online race. Everything is fine, until the start of the race, where it shows the other racers starting the race without me .
On any other game i would just quit, but GT won't let you do that in an online race anymore... So i pushed the PS button and quit the game. Upon returning, my money and my tuning setting for the car had been reset, and i lost around 2 hours of play time.

And just now, trying to join a race, the same thing has happened, i have been forced into a sort of 'spectator mode' where i just watch other people race, because my PS3 couldn't connect to the host quick enough. Like i said i can't pause and quit, because it just says "You cannot quit during an online race". I'm not stupid enough to quit the game again.

Has anyone else been experiencing this? It's really bugging me.

I have experienced this a few times, but very rarely. Most of the time I connect to the race but there is the odd occasion where I end up as a spectator.

I think you are right, it might just be a bug in GT5P.

Mine is a different problem. I'm not getting error connecting to host, i manage to connect to the host, just not in a timely fashion, so i end up having to watch the race or lose my progress. I'm just lucky it hasn't happened when entering a 20 lap F2007 race at Suzuka.

They do mention it though 👍 but there is nothing we can do. Its just another problem that we have to deal with. There are many many other people who get the same thing you do. I am 1 of them.
