We have 2 boys (5,2) and I remember the nights of no sleep.
sounds like everyone needs some.

Hopefully her pregnancy will get better for you and easier for her. :)

This will be the second one. We've got a little girl, she's 2 now. This one will be born right around her third birthday (what is it about that one week in September where my wife is just damned fertile?!).

:)

Cool, congrats on the second one... and no kidding.
It is definitely September. Our boys birthdays are 10 days apart.

XBox Live anyone? I've run a few races of MotoGP. Who said this game was crap? It seems pretty good to me, and I have the demo. Maybe if I had spent $50 on it I would feel differently. MechAssault looks pretty dadgum cool, and Halo 2 should be more than awesome.

I can't believe I'm saying this ... I enjoy my XBox.

I enjoy mine so far and wished I would have picked one up sooner.
I also think MotoGP for xbox is really good.
Some of the unlockables in that game are really fun. (for a while)
Toon Mode
Wireframe mode
etc.

AAAHHHH I'M MELTING!!!!!
Why are you melting??
Do you own Sony?? :D

The regular Xbox controller is the best controller I think. It is the most comfortable controller I have ever played with. It's far better than the PS2 and Gamecube controllers in my opinion. Those 2 controllers are to small. The Xbox one seems as if it were made just for my hands. :)

I wouldn't waste my money on that air-flo crap. Nice idea behind it but it's still to new and I wouldn't waste the money. It looks like it's liable to break if you drop it from 2 feet up. :\

I'd say that most people that I've heard say that they really like the standard XBox controller have bigger hands than average. Seems to be made for the 'larger' population. :)

I am huge for my age AltF8. It's strange. :)

An Xbox would be a better buy. Hands down.

Most powerful console out there. Has great exclusive games such as Halo and Rallisprt Challenge. Great controller. Comes with a hard drive.

Xbox > PS2

I think you should get the PS2 for games like:
- GT3
- GTA: Vice City
etc, etc.

Too many too list, get a PS2. NOW! ;)

That's what I'm leaning towards. You can't forget Gran Turismo 3 either.

Ay yes. Note the GT3 :) Got to be the best game i've ever played out of the three (GCN, XBOX, PS2)

Shame, shame Loud. You should have bought a GameCube. :D

Regarding the controllers -

Dual Shock - A great controller. Flexible and well laid out. If anything, I find it a touch too small and awkward for my grip. "Analog" buttons are a bad joke though. My hands fatigue with it pretty easily.

GC controller - I like it! It fits my hands well (they're medium sized, but I have long fingers) and the button layout works well. Not so hot for Capcom fighting games, perhaps, but that's minor for me. :) Plus, I have played Metroid Prime for hours with no discomfort! That counts for a lot with me.

Xbox - Haven't used it extensively. Seems good though. Again, I have longish fingers so it probably fits my hands better than some.

Well it's been two months now. My PS2 collection has grow, and my XBox collection has grown. I have four type S XBox controllers and a small collection of games.

DEFINITE bonuses are four player games. I have groups of friends over quite frequently and we all like video games. Have the four controllers on the console makes game producers more willing to make four player games. The PS2 does have the Multitap, but no one makes good games for it.

The network card has been handy a time or two also. Network cable is cheap and runs a lot further than firewire. And a network hub is cheap in comparison.

The graphics and such don't really seem better than PS2, but whatever - that's all based on the game producer's ability to take advantage of the hardware anyway. When I walk through the stores shopping for games I see more games for PS2 that I want to play than games for XBox. I guess that's really the important thing.

Yeah, I like it. I've been working through Ghost Recon lately. Infact I'm almost done. Maybe it's time to cut out of work and go finish off another Dossier objective.

I don't feel dirty. I just got an Xbox for Christmas. I already think it is better than that PS2 I had. Screw going and buying around $35 for a Xbox memory card! I just save all my fames to the harddisk. Only thing I hate is the controller my Xbox came with. That dang controller-S. I wanted a real Xbox controller. This one is just to small. It's like playing PS2 and GC again. :(

Yeah, I'm one of the freaky people like you who really like the standard Xbox controller. Even the damned key layouts on the screen in Madden 2003 are the S-type controller...

I don't see why you would want to pay $150 for a Gamecube anyway. The Xbox is a much better deal. The Gamecube has no CD playing capabilities or DVD. Xbox gives you both plus a harddrive.

Because of the games. There are so many really good games for GameCube that aren't on XBox. And everything about GameCube is so much cheaper.

I also use the NIC in the XBox for network gaming. That's where it really comes in handy. The only things I enjoy on the internet anymore are instant messaging and web browsing. Games are too latent heavy to be enjoyable, and that includes XBox Live. The network play is excellent though. 100mbit and < 10m/s pings make it quite awesome.

AltF8, although you didn't ask for my opinion I'll give it to you. Yes, Xbox live it worth it. Plus, even if you don't like it, it's way cheaper than getting your PS2 online. ;)

Actually, I know where I can get an Xbox for the same price as a Gamecube ;)
