Right, my 2 cents.
Well it musta been 2001 or 2002, I cant remember which birthday it was, either my 10th or 11th birthday, but my dad's old friend got me Driver 2 as a present, not knowing that I alreayd had it. So he took it back, and wound up finding GT2 about 2 months later. Since then Ive neverl ooked back...I still remember my first ever car, a delapidated, dark blue 1992 Honda Prelude VTEC 👍 In those early days I was an overkiller though. Ive always been slightly behind with the new consoles - when the PS1 was all the rage back in like 1998-99, I had a Sega Mega Drive
and then got a PS1, then didnt get a PS2 until like 2003-4 ish? And im still waiting on the PS3, although to be honest Imma blag steal and borrow to get it once GT5 comes out
But i tihnk Parnelli has a good point. They all have a different feel. I played GT1 a little and its a bit more hardcore. GT2 is just a fantastic game, still my favourite, and thanks to this forum I still play it daily, not to complete the game itself, but I just do it for fun, simply because the cars you get just arent available anywhere else, sometimes not even in other GTs. GT3 is a great game for a quick bite, plus its the easiest in the seires to drift on - i remember me and my fellow GT-er friend Sam doing D1 style drifting round Midfield in a pair of Astons - good times
also GT3 appeals to me when I just want mad horsepower, because a lot of cars on there can be tuned to over 1000hp, and my Viper currently has like 1100hp or something?
GT4 is great for realism, and the whole A-spec points thing is a big plus.
