I hate quitters...

Dude I hate quitting I try my best not to but sometimes unfortunately there's no reason to keep going especially when you're in a high position and assholes just ram you off the track or don't use their brakes properly!!!!

I quit a race earlier. Gr4, I'm in the Lexus they're literally all in sciroccos. I was going backwards faster than Mater. Then I got handed a penalty for a bump that was in no way my fault.
So I just thought wtf is the point. I wasn't learning anything from that crap race other than how much more I hate sciroccos and megane's than I thought.

When I get GTS I won't quit a race. In fact I never quit races in Assetto Corsa or PCars2 as I'm not a sore loser and I have picked up wins from seemingly impossible positions on many occasions.

Ha ha, just you wait till you're in a field of Megane's and you're in something else being used as a pin ball

... I really do.

Why do people leave the game so quick when the race isn't going the way they expected to be ?

I quit my first race in 306 races today. Some Canadian on Tokyo Expressway passed me from the acceleration difference at the very start of the race. From this moment on I had at least 3 opportunities to pass him cleanly and he would nudge me over into the wall to prevent it. On lap 3 he hit the wall on a turn and I was going 20-30 mph faster than him and I try to pass him and he pins me against the wall, locking up my car, slowing me down a solid 40 mph and the guy behind me slams into me (not his fault) hitting my back and somehow I got a 10 second penalty... I just left the race.

For me it really wasn’t worth losing my S SR Rating driving next to an absolute moron for 2 more laps.

Haha, all the people saying "I quit because I don't want to lose my SR rating" are ridiculous. You know what sportsmanship is, right? It's doing the right thing. Quitting because it's not going your way certainly isn't good sportsmanship. In my opinion anyone who quits should get a big SR hit.

It's an unpopular opinion, I'm sure, but you get idiots and bad drivers everywhere in this game. It's a fact of it. If you don't like it, don't race. It annoys me greatly, but there's nothing I can do about it. Continue the race and finish as best you can. If you genuinely cared about sportsmanship - rather than the little letter that is by your name - you'd finish the race.

I agree, if I get knocked around I just get to race against different people when I drop back a couple spots. People take this game way too seriously (ie: the people that feel the need to tell us their dr and sr when posting). I've been in a few races where I got pole position, escaped first corner demolition derby and cruised the rest of the race and its just boring. If I want to cruise around a track ill go do a Time Trial or race the AI.

We shouldn't always confuse quitting with the principle of 'voting with your feet'. I quit one and only one FIA race before I quit dailies and FIA races posting that intention on here. I play lobbies and time trial exclusively now.
I ended the race and left the session after a first turn pile up robbed me of a 2nd place grid that was hard earned. To me I didn't care about the SR hit that's only there to dissuade dissension. I wanted to show to PD I would take no more part in this shambolic excuse for online sport. I am definitely no quitter in real life or games.
I don't care if other people leave the session either. If they have been wronged then let them vote. If they are cheaters who got punished good riddance. If they are immature and didn't like being fastest good riddance too.
I get way more annoyed in a lobby when I post a time faster than the hosts and I get instantly kicked. Or the moment I make a tune change they start the race. Both are way more cynical methods of cheating.

That 24h Nords race a couple weeks ago had a driver up in the top 10 (I was going between 8th and 11th) and when this guy wiped out in that tight corner with his SLS AMG, he instantly rage quit and he was 6th... come on.

There is a lot of insentive to keep going if you care about your rank. Quoting destroys rank.
