I hope there will be russian cars in GT5.

thats just rubbish, the only reason i would want to see that one in the game would be if i had one myself, but i dont
I wouldn't be too quick to condemn the Riva, bolt in a 2 litre twincam Fiat engine, and you have a cheap, quick and fun RWD car!

If they will be having 4x4's in the game, i would like to see some old aro's or lada niva's :)

aro 461:

or a newer aro 10 race modified:

And pics of the niva:

I didn't think I'd need to be the first to say this, but there's a dozen threads this topic could have gone into.

I'll hope that the Marussia B2 would be presented in the nearest DLC pack

And if in the future will be trucks, it would be cool to see KAMAZ Master Dakar Rally

My parents actually had a red Lada Riva estate when I was young. I'd love to see it in GT5.

No, no, no and A MILLION TIMES NO!!!

Why can't people understand that what they want isn't necessarily what the majority of people want. I don't want any Zil or Lada crap boxes, I have enough with all the Japanese K cars and the Gazillion Skylines/Miatas/Lancers/Imprezas/Supras.

I do not care if you "have a blast aroud autumn ring mini with a K car". Most people want things that are historic, interesting, and/or fast. Please no more crapbox commuters, no more "I want my dad car in GT5", and no more all possible variants of Japanese cars.

I'm really fed up.

I want back the Patentwagens. I want premium LM cars. I want the latest sports and supercars. I want hot hatches. I want premium Group B rally cars. I want to enjoy myself for crying out loud, and neither a Suzuki or a Lada will help that.

I know it's the real DRIVING simulator. I don't want everything to be all LM monsters and supercars, but I don't want japanese commuter cars or eco cars or your dad's car or endless duplicates of japanes sports cars. And I don't care if you have fun with them, because 95% of those millions who bought GT5 don't. Period.

/Rant manifesto.

T-34? Vs. a Panzer IV (Panther) and the M-18 Hellcat. Good rally racing right there!:sly:👍

But in terms of normal vehicles I'd like to see the ZILs, GAZs, and Ladas make their appearance! It woudl be very interesting to see them and compare them to their western European, Asian, and North American brethren. I would pay a few bucks for a good Russian cars DLC.

I just wish I'd been old enough to remember when Ladas were still sold in the Canadian market... they left in the mid '90s I think, but I still see a building with the Lada logo on it every day on the train to school!👍

I hope the Marussia B2 makes it, ever since I saw saw it about a year and a half ago I thought that car is pretty cool

Actually Ladas aren't licenced Fiats, only the body is Fiat design, the engines and drivetrains are completely Russian technology. That's probably the only thing that explains why the engine gets running without too much trouble at -40 degrees Celsius... :D

Correct, they ditched everything that made the Fiat 124 interesting (twin cam engine mostly) and they kept "evolving" it when Fiat was already, what?, 3 or 4 generations of succesors further down the line.
Still I reckon it would be nice (but unlikely) to include a version, maybe this one will persuade the naysayers.;)

Would personally love to see some Russian cars, especially the already mentioned Zil state limousines (which had one extra no Western luxury car ever had and ever will, their own driving lane on the highways of Moscow during the Soviet-era.....)
There are a few interesting Eastern Bloc cars which could however fit within the context of GT, not necessarily Russian but how about this little classic mid-engined sportscar from Eastern Germany, the Melkus RS1000?

It was apparantly so iconic over there they recently made a succesor, the new Melkus RS2000.

No Russian cars please! I'm a Russian... If it will be a flying simulator game then yes, but driving...no. I mean it will be better to have some more Ferrari's, or Group C cars premium.

Well, the Lada 2105 VFTS for rallying would be awesome!

AND!!!! The Lada prepared by Lotus for a Top Gear episode!!! That one is AMAZING!!!

How about a Trabant, not quite Russian but I hear they were very important to Russia. First 2-stroke for GT too!

Actually Trabant's where from East Germany, you are right about the 2-stoke engine though, in addition early bodies where build from compressed cardboard and plywood, should do wonders for the damage model in gt 5,lol

I guess there are no real "Race" or "Track" cars made in russia right?
The Marussia and GAZ look cool, but they are made out of a selection of already existing cars.
