I LOST EVERYTHING :'( Please help y'all

Ok so i bought a new Psp3000 having sold my original 1000.

First thing i do is go and stick my memory card in and slot the umd in its drive.

Go to Umd and the game starts loading.

Once it reaches the bit where it acknowledges your game save.

I get an error code and some bullcrap about how its going to wipe my data if i proceed. I click cancel thinking it will just take me to the menu screen.

Does it hell, i start back up at 100,000 credits and a lovely pontiac vibe gt 03:tdown:

i was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! this cannot be, well apparently yes it can . Ive done some research and apparently PD have put this in to stop "cheating" ......thanks kaz

Either way i had like 450 cars which id worked damn hard to collect all through grinding out races offline. I had all my tracks up to S and had about 45 golds and the rest all silver in the license challenges.

I just do not have the time or the heart to go through all that again.

This brings me to a request please oh please would one of you kind souls hook up with me over adhoc party and help me by sharing a few hundred cars?

Ive never used adhoc party before so do not know how to communicate or the do's and dont's of the application. Or if it is even possible to share that many vehicles.

Heck i promise i wont lurk anymore ill even contribute to the wonderful world of gt planet by posting more!

Same thing happened when my limited edition GT PSP bricked itself while updating, Sony said it was a japanese model, probably because they couldn't replace with anything else.
I lost all 300 of my cars, but now i'm much further on the driving challenges but those cars are never coming back

BTW does 'Shareable' mean it copies and pastes the cars to the other psp?

You don't really have any choice, it just checks to see if there are any shareable cars that you don't have and then it gives them to you. If you are going to share with someone with all the shareable cars (like me) make sure you back up your save first, it can be quite overwhealming to go through 4400+ cars.

By the way, I found the car, that was transferred to me from you. It's your Pontiac Vibe GT '03 in "Frosty" color!

Now I have one in "Salsa" and one in "Frosty". Heh, hot and cool =)
Besides, it will be a great souvenir from my first encounter with AdHock car transfer!

This happened to me too, when my PSP 2000 broke ,and I had to use the old 1000 again. I've now got the 5 SP cars, the Ferrari F2007, Corvette ZR1, Audi R8 Race Car Team Oreca, Pagani Zonda LM, and a Countach 25th Anniversary. Anyone want to share cars? I can hook up on Ad Hoc Party right now for some good racing and sharing. Go ahead and add me if you want.

If you've already done it again by using CWCheat and finding cheats, you need to backup in order to replace corrupted data with the normal one, this happened to me, too but i didn't sold my PSP2006, I backed up then replace it whenever I save new progress with the game, I use CWCheat to make more progress to the game. WOW octain, thats a real shame. One of my friends missplaced his Mem card and after months he still cannot find it, we adhoced and i gave him all my cars(that i could) and his was back racing.

I was planing on upgrading my 1000, but if im going to loose my data transferring the card to the new PSP then its a 100% no go, stick with my ageing mickey mouse 1000.

Like everyone else I hate when this happens , because I lost all of my cars when my go packed up , thankfully sony repaired it , but i did have to restart GT but since that i am now back up to over 300 Cars now.

I also had the pain of this recently :-( Lost *all* my save data when my PSP crashed loading MGSW. This included all my GT garage and licence tests, which annoyed me no end.

Recently upgraded to the PSP Go, so I'm pretty much starting again!
