Man I hope the first time the WRS has an off road event it isn't in a RWD overweight pig or a FWD rubber band powered turtle. It would be an absolute flop because we all know that the track would never get pushed to it's limit. It would just leave a bad impression about a style filled racing form and wouldn't be appreciated by those who would hardly tolerate a stock WRX.

No I totally agree, should be a proper rally event/vehicle that won't give the wrong impression of a truly awesome form of motorsport. I was just having a go at the 'grass cutting' being done to keep with the leaders. (No offense to Zoky, I know he is just doing what the rest of us including myself have to do to keep up in this event).
My point is, I would hope any forthcoming WRS event would disallow this kind of 'racing line' and encourage the usual 2 wheels on the dirt road at any time. It's just something that can't be enforced on the PSN online TT mode at the moment.

I would think that the gloves should come off for this stuff because it would be to hard to police. Just let the fences and invisable walls take care of the missteps. If it is detectable that a fence touch took place then I would DQ it or if a drop in rpm due to an inviso wall impact were detectable then DQ. This is off road WFO stuff and I would say that hanging it out is what it is all about.

I'm sure that it would have to take on a more ridgid position for the WRS and whats good for the goose is good for the gander, so what would you do on the snow? There is no edge except for the fence. I think that you have to look at the dirt stuff in the same way.

That's why I would prefer any rally event to be somewhere like eiger, where it is easy to detect a touch. There are either fences, towering cliffs, or concrete blocks to take care of that, you can't get away with much there. While I love toscana as a track, it allows you to be 'adventurous' with the racing line :)

But even if they did relax the rules just for something like toscana, I would be fine with that since the rules are the same for everyone. As long as it was clearly defined what was allowed and what isn't.

If the red line rules that we just used for week 8 in wrs were nicely applied to an off-road event, the combo could be spectacular!! :)
This week, I tried to play what the game would allow with what the wrs would allow. The game might red line, whereas wrs would not. Then the game would let me do something, but wrs would not. That combination would make a hell of an off-road series! 👍
Go Lefty!!! I promise to drive your race this week. Times will be forthcoming, but not until I sleep this wonderful buzz under the table.

Race On!! :gtpflag:
