HEY GUYS!!,

I want to tune my Nissan Silvia Spec-R Aero (S15) 02' for drifting but sadly none of the ones i've tried in the other threads have worked for me. Someone please help me find something that works for me!!!!!!!

Note: I am using a DFGT

well i can offer some pointers but i drift a different drivetrain than you do a silvia being an FR your problem could be to much traction to little, or to much or to little power of your car or try tweeking your suspension i suggest sports kit

so is the problem your tune or your actual drifting ability??

Its most likely his drifting. As soon as things start to go awry people start to find all excuses other than technique, like the car, their wheel, the tune, the track.

What it comes down to is if you put the practice time in, you will be drifting well enough in no time. Patience is a virtue they say, and I believe it.

he could drift in other cars for all we know but when starting out sticking to a car your not familiar with tuning can just ruin the whole experience. too little power or totally wrong setupd

I am not that great at drifting on GT5... yet but i will be given a few more weeks of practice. I use the DS3 controller and I will say it is harder to drift with it than a wheel, having experience drifting with the wheel. Not an excuse keep in mind..just fact. GT5 was focused more around the wheel. The biggest piece of advice i can give you is practice and be patient. Patience is a virtue

I'm a new drifter but last week was able to get my 10K Sector Mode trophy with a run at Tsukuba that looked good.

What worked for me:* Enter the turns at Tsukuba at around 50 or 60 mph (you can enter the big first turn around 80 or 90mph). Just turn the wheel into the turn and the car should begin to go sideways on its own. Then countersteer/gas. Don't bother with rear entry, e-braking, etc. You'll eventually learn how the car handles and get better.

Make sure you've got a car with around 400hp with good throttle response (i.e. the stage 3 turbo might be tough to use) and make sure you've got tires that don't grip too much.

*I'm a simpleton, not an expert!

ETA - I am using a DS3.

To be honest. i use a ds3 and its a scoosh! i hadnt drifted in like 3 weeks. i went on yesterday and took me a lap on tsukuba!

the wheel seems harder to me to get used to. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT if you cant drift yet

wheels dont have e-brakes so thats what im afraid of becuase i use it on the controller alot... Tell us details on the problem

Actually all wheels have an e-brake i'm pretty sure, my DFP had one, my G27 has one and my team mates' DFGTs have one. Once again controller is nowhere near as hard as a wheel, not matter what GT5 was made for. Left/right inputs that only take half an inch to get on DS3 vs 1 1/2 rotations on a wheel just from centre, you gotta be kidding me.
