My friend and I host our own Gran Turismo tournaments (Just me and him race) and the first time i hosted one was one week ago on GT3 ad it went great, but... it was too short:grumpy:. I want this one to last ALONG TIME:dopey:. So i need you guys to make some races. And even though its just me and him ill name the race after your user-names unless you make one yourself. Post as any as you want, but try not to be repetitive. Here are some guidelines to make it ultimately varied.

No.of laps are not limited, but please have some mercyas we cant do 50 endurance races.

Car restrictions are also not limited: Give us HP restrictions, Stock or modded cars, Type, Manufacturer, country, weight, length, Tires, or any other restriction you may come up with.

Track: we need a track ;)

If you want make a mini tourtament if you would like. For example: we had a Japan Tour in our Tournament where we played all Japan tracks in GT3. My Ray Brig NSX vs. his Calsonic Skyline.

Race type: Spice it up with some Drift, Rally, Drag, Time Trials and Circuits.

ha! Your name is hilarious: teh_noob Classic! :)

I had a housemate years ago, we used to do 2-player races...usually no more than 5 laps. He wasn't as good a player as me, so 5 was all he could stand before losing it. This was GT2...GT4 hadn't come out yet.

But we used to have "theme" races. We had kei car races, "mommy wagon" races (Honda/Mugen Accord wagons or Demios, etc), muscle-car races, rallies, and so on.

Our top events involved me in my Dodge Viper GTS (fully modded with racing kit) and him in one of the full-scale AWD Skyline GTRs (Pennzoil or whatever). This was perfect because he wasn't as good with high-powered FR cars, but he could keep up with me in an AWD Skyline. 👍

Well I've done the same before with my dad, we used to have a selection of races, mainly at Capri actually, and we'd almost pick sides. He'd take the American muscle cars, which would leave me with the lower-powered tuners (which was a shame because I'm more a muscle car fan myself ;)). That could be an idea for you guys, pick two genres to race against and choose a certain number of tracks, and you've got yourself a small tournament! :)

I would say the "theme" races Parnelli Bone suggested would be ideal, it makes for some good action. If you two have a gap in skill level, let the person who's worse choose their car first, and then the better person chooses his car based on what the other person chose. And then you will have some close racing.

A kind of boring but unpredictable race is where you both have the same car and go to the Test Course for 2 laps or so and have a drafting challenge. It's pretty much all about luck as to who happens to be in front at the end of the race, so the results are never the same.

Also if you guys are REALLY bored, try taking LMP's or F1 cars to the Test Track and going the wrong way. Then, when you get roughly in the middle of one of the turns, start on the inside, and while still holding the throttle down, turn as hard as you can into the wall at the top. You'll be treated to some hilarious replays!

I do this with my friend a lot. He isn't as good as me either so I let him take a Dodge Viper and I took a tuned '97 (I think) Mitsubishi FTO. It was a good race, I think I barely won.

Slight Problem, i may not do a GT4 Tour becase of the no TCS problem (i have no use for ASM) Even though all my cars are at 3-4 on TCS 0 is alot different. We are equally matched and we know how to tune our cars but its stupid that there is no TCS in 2 player when you choose Garage cars.

Dude, you don't need TCS. Turn that crap off. :yuck: Practice driving with it OFF for a couple days, I swear you'll find you'll get better lap times with that crap off.

Actually TCS is almost ALWAYS better at controlling wheelspin than ANY human will ever be. Cars that don't really need it don't need it and it does slow them down a bit, but the true monsters most definitely benefit from it in the end.

Try a budget challenge. Used car, S2s only, 30,000cr limit is a pretty good format, judging by reading a few of those threads on here.

Also, I note you've asked a GT3 question in the GT4 thread, so this suggestion may not be any good.

Hot hatches. There are so many of those, theres the 147 GTA, the S3, the A3 3.2 quattro, the M Coupe, the Clio Renault Sport, the Cooper-S, the 106 Rallye, 205 Turbo 16, 206 RC, Golf IV R32...and then some.

53 laps on SS11 driving ANY cars that start with B,D,E,F,I,J,L,N,R,U,V,W,Z.

Then, 47 laps in Seattle driving ANY cars that start with A,C,G,H,K,M,O,P,Q,S,T,X,Y.

10 LAPS on Tokyo go forward 1 lap, then turn around and 1 lap backwards and do the same thing for 10 laps driving normal cars with hp below 220.

Last, 15 laps on Apricot Hill, but start at the beginning of the pitstop, go in the pitstop, and as soon as you get out of the pitstop, turn around and go back to the beginning of the pitstop, and do the same thing for 15 laps, also, drive cars that weight less than 900, and that have less than 75 hp.

How's that?!

Honestly, for a guy calling himself "teh noob", you don't seem like that much of a noob.

I'll give you some suggestions then.

*Tokyo R246 - 5 Laps.....*insert race name you want*.
*Motorland Reverse - 30 Laps (it's a really small track), use Kei class cars and call it "Noob's Special".
*MidField - 5 or 10 Laps, cars must be before 1970, call it "The Battle of MidField" (instead of Midway)
*Nurburgring - 2 Laps vs AI on Family Cup +6.
*Costa Di Amalfi - 5 Laps, FF's only.
*Test Course - 3 Laps - Use JGTC cars.

How's that?? :)
