I recently bought the G27 for GT6 - need some advice

The steering wheel is much much smaller than in your actual car. So you have to move it twice as fast. There are kits to put larger wheels and paddles on your G27.

I don't understand this.

For one revolution of the steering post, a larger circumference wheel must travel much farther than a low circumference wheel. Therefore, for that post to revolve at the same speed, a larger wheel must be turned much faster than a smaller wheel.

What am I missing?

You are missing nothing...he was being illogical <<< Pun of the Year right there:cheers:

All great tips and practices! But the most best is to use ,at the least, a GOOD wheel stand. And to really get those lap times in the low numbers is to go to a full rig! Personally I used the DF up through GT5. Current use is DFGT, I love the adjust on the fly feature.

Ya, I get what I said lol.

Illusion of speed I guess. Didn't really think about it. The smaller wheel makes it feel like I'm working harder to drive.

Probably because tiny movements of the wheel cause larger changes in steering angle, which then require movements to correct for that, which require movements to correct the corrections, LOL.

With larger wheels, I tend to tie my arms in knots in the hairpins and chicanes.

Start the game over. Use the lowest force feed back that feels right and practice. I was a bit put off at first myself but trust me. It is so worth it and once you are used to it you will never want to race with a pad again. Get a wheel stand if you can not mount it in a way that it has no movement. The Rennsport stand can be found used at times on ebay. I have one and it is rock solid and simple.
