I know which car you're talking about, don't worry... The Autozam AZ-1 (aka Mazda) but that one in the pics differs just a tad from it, and it was sold by another carmaker.

The engine (3 cyl.) in the AZ-1 was built by Suzuki. In 1993, Suzuki built a clone of the AZ-1, the Cara.

I figured it was cheating. I used the fact that Cano said it was similar to the az-1 and figured out what it was from there.

Well, I knew it was similar to an AZ-1 after playing GT2. I remember using the AZ-1 to win some K-car races. The Cara is an exact clone of the AZ-1 save for the badging.

The body panel is actually removable and Mazda was going to produce skins so that you could change the color. Or that is what I understand from reading about it.
