I am however going to be racing online tonight under (GT-R 07 ONLY) with my race tune, for all the sceptics and (clean racers)
The lap time doesn't show how good the tune is.
The tune has a significant bearing on lap times otherwise there wouldnt be any point in tuning.
dwilko01It is funny how mant ppl will jump back into a street car when they see someone has done something they didn't try.
This whole thread has completely confused me...
But I will say in his defense, I am pretty quick generally speaking, and was doing a couple hot laps in the Caterham round Deep Forest when another guy came in with the same car and just shattered my times, 1:09.1 or so (Could be wrong, but thats what I remember, mine was a 1:10.2)
Fast laps happen with good drivers. I wouldn't have said that time was possible before that.
He didn´t do it in Deep Forest.He did it it in Trial Mountain.
Try that time on Trial Mountain with your Caterham.

1:15.012All I want to know is if there are other tuners out there that can honestly say they have tuned there's to compete with me as I would love to share some expertise and would gladly remove this post "when proven".
Yeah, your best CLEAN lap was 1'17.214, so don't bother boasting with your dirty laps..
lol, seriously you think I would get that time by playing by the rules;
No I was driving a 4WD for starts, with racing soft on the front and mediums on the rear and without 6th gear, it took me hours to get that time and my average time on that track is 1:19 1:20 (clean)
Whats the fun in that? He should be just ignored as MOST GTP drivers support clean driving.
Any tune on the GTR works well just about. No real skill needed to race that thing well. Always see people online that use the GTR only and as soon as they try a F40 vette zonda r it proves my point. Great car all round when tuned well even better, but to easy to race with.
I agree here.
Although it's so easy to race with I tend to just give up. The one time I actually used the pink R35 I have (someone else brought one out, so I did), I built up a bit of a lead over the first few laps then parked it. Wasn't like I was having fun trying to keep it under control to stay out or anything to that effect. It was a bit like popping to the shops rather than racing really.
I thought this '07 drove like complete crap, even in the first 10 laps when I was driving it seriously, with no aids to see what it could do. This is the first GT-R (Non JGTC) that I've bought, and I did so specifically because of this thread.
Rotary JunkieIt drives like crap but goes quickly despite it. Which makes it all the more annoying.
