I think I have the best GT-R 07 tune for circuit

I don't have to try it, to know that it is impossible. The best in the GT-R V-Spec i can do is 1:18 and this was done online in the warmup and I had the (what I think is) perfect racing line, made no single mistake. Maybe an expert driver could get 2 seconds off of that with a different racing line through the first sector and in the corner before the long straight, but not more. No way. The GT-R is simply not as fast as the GT-1 race cars.

Let him have his fame its just a game and online racing is not the same as offline if he's cheating he's only cheating himself and he knows it he may have a good tune but if others cant try it its no better than standard as it cant be proven.

The tune has a significant bearing on lap times otherwise there wouldnt be any point in tuning.

Here is where you're wrong. Though making a car faster is part of tuning, it's not the only concern. If you had a yellowbird for example, would you prefer a hyper quick tune which will kill you with ease, or a not so quick tune which makes it a joy to drive? Me? I'd go for the 'slower, but more fun' tune. There are many routes to tuning. Majority of the time, tunes make a car go faster. Sometimes, the tune will make it better to drive, easier to handle, or focus it more.

Anyways, has the OP just disappeared into thin air? What happened to the 'catch me if you can' arrogance?

This whole thread has completely confused me...
But I will say in his defense, I am pretty quick generally speaking, and was doing a couple hot laps in the Caterham round Deep Forest when another guy came in with the same car and just shattered my times, 1:09.1 or so (Could be wrong, but thats what I remember, mine was a 1:10.2)
Fast laps happen with good drivers. I wouldn't have said that time was possible before that.

He didn´t do it in Deep Forest. He did it it in Trial Mountain.

Try that time on Trial Mountain with your Caterham. ;)

All I want to know is if there are other tuners out there that can honestly say they have tuned there's to compete with me as I would love to share some expertise and would gladly remove this post "when proven".

Thanks for playing, bye.

Yeah, your best CLEAN lap was 1'17.214, so don't bother boasting with your dirty laps..

Maybe you aren't following the thread, but dirty laps are what the OP is bragging about. Apples to Apples, Oranges to Oranges.

lol, seriously you think I would get that time by playing by the rules;
No I was driving a 4WD for starts, with racing soft on the front and mediums on the rear and without 6th gear, it took me hours to get that time and my average time on that track is 1:19 1:20 (clean)

Whats the fun in that? He should be just ignored as MOST GTP drivers support clean driving.

To prove a point and shut the OP up. No more, no less.
I'm not trying to pass it off as a clean lap or deceive anyone, it's perfectly clear in the picture that it's dirty. He challenged tuners to "compete with him", so I tried. I competed on the platform that he presented; end of story.

@br1x don't be impressed by that, it's an AID lap, I was just creating a ghost, so that I could gauge my speed and what short cuts were beneficial overall.
My legitimate laps were only in the 19's, but I didn't really tune the car.

Any tune on the GTR works well just about. No real skill needed to race that thing well. Always see people online that use the GTR only and as soon as they try a F40 vette zonda r it proves my point. Great car all round when tuned well even better, but to easy to race with.

I agree here.

Although it's so easy to race with I tend to just give up. The one time I actually used the pink R35 I have (someone else brought one out, so I did), I built up a bit of a lead over the first few laps then parked it. Wasn't like I was having fun trying to keep it under control to stay out or anything to that effect. It was a bit like popping to the shops rather than racing really.

You weren't driving fast enough :P

I thought this '07 drove like complete crap, even in the first 10 laps when I was driving it seriously, with no aids to see what it could do. This is the first GT-R (Non JGTC) that I've bought, and I did so specifically because of this thread.
I'd have to try a few posted tunes to see how they drove, but for the most part I disliked this car very much.

It drives like crap but goes quickly despite it. Which makes it all the more annoying.

1:22.xxx can be ran with a Mazda RX-7 @ 600HP and Min Weight, on R2's in online races, I'm not expecting to find 1:15.anything out of a GT-R, but I won't be using SRF:P

Funny how people forget to mention that.

Since this is here, I'll say I think the GT-R drives great, you just have to wring the living hell out of it, otherwise it can be very bland.
