I originally ordered the game with Tesco but when I found out that I could get the Anniversary Edition from GAME at about the same price, I cancelled my Tesco pre-order. I got a full refund.

Today, GT6 arrived in the mail from Tesco. I'll be keeping an eye out the next couple of days to see if I get charged for it, but it seems to me that they've made a mistake. Hopefully my GAME order arrives tomorrow so that my brother and I both have a copy! :)

What are the laws like in the UK? If I recall correctly, in the US, if you were sent something that you didn't order, not only is it against the law for the company to charge you for the item, but also for them to ask for it back (I'm not suggesting you use this to your advantage). You might want to find out when it was shipped vs when you cancelled your order.

Checking through emails/orders as we speak.

As far as I'm aware, it's their error and therefore their problem if they send me it. It would only cost me time and money to deal with their mistake, so I think I'll be keeping the game. :)

EDIT: Also, I cancelled my order about a month ago. I doubt they even had the game at that point.

:lol::lol: What in the world were they thinking?

Yeah, they are big boys at Tescos, and unfortunately that is also their big disadvantage. I've returned to a store in order to pay for an item that missed being scanned, but this situation seems like a bit of a risk for you.

A system that sent you an item long after you'd cancelled it, is a system that might also later charge you, sometime after the item's return; it all depends on human interaction with computers, the computers restrictions and of course the person who later audits what was processed on the computer. :banghead:

Edit (strange, I must have erased the last line):

As I said, If the law is on your side, then it is your choice.

Same thing happened to me with GTA V. I ordered from Tesco, but it was going to take forever so I canceled it and went into a Tesco store and bought it over the counter. A couple days later I get a second copy from Tesco, that hasn't been paid for, and they never took the money out or sent an email about it. So I just sold it on eBay. Their loss.
