I Want GT6 With The "Beyond The Apex" Book, What Are My Options?

I'm anxious because I know GT6 is only $40 at Gamestop for a little while, but I really, REALLY want the updated "Beyond The Apex" book. :drool:

What limitations might there be if I import a special edition like this one? Problems with online play? Might the book itself be in the wrong language?

Or does anyone know of someplace I can get the new book on its own, physical or digital? In which case I'll run to GameStop. :D
 
The book is only available for the Asian equivalent of the 15th Anniversary edition (Limited Edition), as well as the Asia Collector's Edition.
However, the GT6 App set to come out has Apex II integrated into it, which is why it went from initially being available as a physical copy to being pulled out
 
I may very well purchase the HK edition for the Apex II book. Are there any limitations of the HK version of the game itself? Online play compatibility? Car selection? Update schedule? Game save/backup difficulties? I'm using a US market PS3 of course.
 
I actually just messaged the one seller that had the book alone on eBay, they're in Australia and don't ship internationally but I begged them to. :)

I can assure you its real and very cool :D

There are sections that only appear in certain lighting conditions like the glitter and 15th anniversary tyre marks
 
I found the Apex book for GT5 on eBay for sale by an HK vendor that had good rating.
Took a couple of weeks to arrive here in U.S., but it was in perfect new condition.
If I see the GT6 version posted on his eBay store I will post a link.
I have been checking daily.

I have HK GT6 Limited Ed with the book ( there are 2 languages option - Chinese and English ) Make sure to pick the English version. No limitation whatsoever, the game disc, packaging, book are made in Japan, game version is of Japan region coding - online works just the same as other region, updates and cars are the same, backup of save is the same. The game language is in english :) The only exception is DLC will have to be bought from HK PSN store, if you have credit card, that won't be an issue, DLC prices are a lot cheaper in HK dollars too.

You might be able to get it from HMV HK online store, HMV ship worldwide.

Bluray disc quality is the best IMO for the Asian/JP version ( Japan pressing ), wavy gold layered, similar to MGS4 first print :D Only few of my PS3 disc have this, most are plain silver layered.
 
The eBay seller wasn't willing to ship to the USA, and it doesn't look like there are any left. :(

I'd be willing to throw one of you Australian gentlemen some extra money to buy it and ship it to the USA if it comes up again.

I got it from HMV HK : http://www.hmv.com.hk,
Nor sure if HMV have the English version in stock, you have to ask them first before ordering.

I don't think you can use different region disc to run the game :(
 
I HAVE DISCOVERED A WAY TO DOWNLOAD AND PRINT THE ENGLISH VERSION OF BEYOND THE APEX!!

step1: download the free iTunes apex app
step2: go into your iTunes through your computer (not mobile device) and find the app
step3: right click the app and click "show in folder"
step4: right click the ApexUS 1.0.1 file and open it with 'archive utility'
*Note- step four should automatically send a new ApexUS folder to your desktop
step5: open the new desktop folder, once inside, open the 'payload' folder
*Note- within the payload folder should be one unreadable file, do not worry
step6: right click and click 'show package contents'
step7: a long list of images and folder will appear which you should ignore, simply open the folder named 'book'
step8: inside of the 'book' folder.. you will then open the 'images' folder

AND bingo.. theres the entire book ready for whatever you wish to do with it... a more intelligent person than I would be able to somehow package this content and make it available for everyone but I am not that savvy :-P.. hope this helps
