I've dome multiple searches here, nothing came up.

I have watched all the videos of this being done, and nothing seems to help. I've golded almost of the other licenses and this one I can barely even get silver on. In every video I see, people seem to be able to turn the car a ton and not lose traction at all, I barely tap the D-Pad and it goes sliding into the nearest cone. :grumpy:

What aids should I be using to make this the easiest possible? Should I use a DFGT or controller?

I don't know what to do anymore on this, nothing seems to help. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

GOT IT!!! Thanks to a very helpful PM by EmptiMind and about 7 more tries, I got it by 0.044s. Mods, lock this now that it's useless. :D :D :D

Why not post the info you were PM'd so that others with the same question can benefit from the knowledge?

Good idea. :)

To make it easiest for yourself:
Active Steering: Strong
ABS: 2
Start wide in the first few slaloms, then narrow down as you get to about 77 mph (125 kph) and hold it there until you go through the second to last set of cones, then floor it.

Very helpful. :D

Very good to know. Been having trouble with that one myself.

I had hundreds of attempts at this and the best I could get was 19.1. Then i came across a piece of advice on a youtube video which said to turn all aids off, use manual transmission (I'd been using auto) and shift from second straight into fourth missing third entirely to make the car much more stable. Within 5 attempts at trying it this way I nailed it with 18.3. This helped me loads so thought I'd share it in the hope that it might be of use to someone else. Just stuck on the Alfa 8C at Eiger Grand Tour event now.

I'm confused as to how ABS would make any difference in this test.

For the record, I hated this one too. Took me probably an hour to finally get gold. Once I saw SRF was on, I just started manhandling the car and after a few tries finally got it.

I turned the ghost off and stopped looking at the speedometer. Kept at it focusing on the line and controlling the weight shift aiming to get flat out through the two last gats and finally got it.

punch it, through the first few cones, then as u pass the cones give the brakes a tap inbetween transistions to get the nose goin in the right direction. No aids, Manual tranny. Abs 1.

I have 59 golds and this is the last license I can't get the gold one for. Got around 18.9 twice (good for silver), but even that I cannot replicate on a consistent basis. Frustrating, but I will keep trying...

Beat this with a 18.373 with active steering on mild (first time I had ever used it) and abs to 2. Only finished 7 times with my second finish putting me at 18.645. Took me another 45min from there. Fast through first 3 sets of cones then let of gas and applied acceleration about half a car length before each next set of cones (also was turning into inside cone as accelerating). Once past next to last set of cones hold accelerator wide open. Best of luck to ya'll this challenge isn't easy and if i ever see an ft-86, I'm going to remember this dark day.

Damn, I'm 🤬 stuck at 19.308 on this 🤬 test!

I've used the ACS and ABS settings suggested, but I'm just not cutting things just right!

Before I spend another hour trying to find another one-hundredth of a second, I'll move on to the IB-8 test and see if I can get the Silver there - only need to find .108 off my best time to achieve that...

Wow... I,ve been trying this "fu**in'" licence about 200 times and I can't nail it. the best I did is a 18.639...

I really need tips, any! I've been trying every ones I saw on the internet and still... can't beat it.

Please help lol!

Nevermind, just nailed it... with....

18.500... jhahahahah! ^^

I did it with no aides, ABS at 1. Never let off the gas, as it induces throttle lift oversteer. Just tap the brakes through a few of the cones, and blast through the last two.

It was pretty easy, golded it in less than 30 minutes using sixaxis.
You can do it for 5 hours for nothing if you don't change your driving style.
How I golded it:
TCS: 0, active steering off, ABS: 4, brakes 0/4, sensitivity to 7, MT.
Try to start wide and then steer as little as possible.
With this tactic I golded it on 3rd try.

I'm stuck at 59 golds and a silver on IB3. I've gotten it down to 18.635 but I'm going to try a few of these suggestions. thanks!

Thank you Yev!!! drove manual (skipped 3rd gear + mild active steering too) with your setup and nailed it after about 15 tries! I'm at 60 golds now - w00t!!

first off, I owe you a million thanks! If you wanna pass this test listen to this guy, I am using a DS3, for controls I use the brake/gas with the L2/R2 and transmission w/ the right analog stick. This worked after the 9th time for me after at least 50 tries! thanks man, finally 60/60 golds!

This license took me really long, but for some reason I thought it was easier than the Mini Cooper cone slalom :/
Or maybe its because I bothered to check youtube :D

Dude the slalom license may seem difficult but it actually ain't, all you have to do this find a rhythm n just keep trying. I spent around 30-45 minutes on it just practicing. Soon you'll get it dude(s).
