I'm firing my crew chief! I'm grinding the Grand Valley endurance and decided to see how long it would take for the game to force a pit stop (25 laps, BTW). So my boy pits, then takes off again but they didn't refuel the damn thing and he had to stop on the very next lap and pit AGAIN!

The AI has gotten better, but it still has a LONG way to go...

Yeah I've had this happen before...luckily I had a ten lap lead in the X2010, but the poor thing was stuck doing 50 mph for most of its last lap. I'm just glad it doesn't stall out and you automatically lose the race.

Just so you're aware... it will definitely stall out. I had gotten to this "50mph" grace period once before so when my driver (at indy in the FGT) asked to pit with 2 to go, I told him to HTFU and canceled.

During the last lap as he was JUST past the front pitting entrance, he started losing speed down to the 50mph limit. It coasted down the whole back stretch at 50mph, and as it was coming into turn 4, it started losing speed. I ultimately rolled across the line doing something like 6mph or something, so I don't know if it will actually get to zero, but there is a further limit below the 50mph limit.

So use caution.

Never had him stall out before, reached the 50MPH grace period a few times on A-Spec but never on B-Spec. Bob always pits in on the last possible lap before running out and the pit-crew always fill me up unless I specify otherwise.

What's your pit-in strength set to?

Did you skip straight through the pit-in menu when he reaches the pit-lane?

If you turn it off then Bob will only pit in when in dire need of rubber or fuel and all should be well.

I'll never forget in GT4 b spec when I ran out of gas.

It should be part of the crew's automatic thought process.
