Let's say that there are more GT games in the distant future that don't necessarily have a number to them, like Sport. I liked the "Sport" title for a couple reasons. First, there's the fact that it spells out the series' introduction of Sport Mode. Second, there are tons of cars that use the "GT S(port)" name, either as part of a trim, or as a model in its own right, like the Mercedes-AMG GT S. So this got me thinking of a few hypothetical GT titles that don't use numbers, while also playing with various terms used in cars.
Alternatively, these names could refer to modes within a future title, or even within a future GT7 update. Alright? Here we go!
Gran Turismo Alleggerita, named for the Alfa Romeo model. This term means "lightened" in Italian, so I was thinking this could be a mobile spin-off with idle gameplay; it's here where I think B-Spec would be especially well-suited. There would also be connectivity with a mainline GT title, ideally.
Gran Turismo Omologato, a very famous term that refers to homologation models, such as those from Pontiac and Ferrari. I'd personally make this a spiritual successor to the race mod mechanic, where you can take a road car, and turn it into a formal Gr.4, Gr.3, or Gr.B car. This would also mean you'd need to buy the Gr.3/Gr.B road car models for those respective racers, such as for Alfa Romeo or Mitsubishi. But then again, maybe it's simply better to buy these things separately, as we see in Sport and 7. Another idea for this term would be for it to refer to more enhanced rulesets you'll be able to see in Sport Mode and lobbies, including the ability to share them.
Gran Turismo Racing, named for the many cars that use a "GT R" tag, like the obvious Nissan Skyline GT-R, but also the Mercedes-AMG GT R. I don't really know how to make this name a bit less generic-sounding, but as for what it'd actually be, I think it's be more like a successor to Sport, perhaps with a revamped Sport mode, and many more official championships beyond the FIAGTCs/GTWS and the Toyota Gazoo Racing Cup. Alternatively, this could simply be a mode (or perhaps a championship) that has more intensive ranked racing, such as long time-based endurances, with dynamic time of day and weather.
Gran Tursimo Veloce, named for another Alfa Romeo model. This could refer to a series of time attack missions, featuring courses like Pikes Peak, the Isle of Man, real-world lap records set with certain cars on particular courses, or even the return of the Goodwood Hillclimb. Or, this term could refer to something as simple as a set of missions that test your car's acceleration and/or top speed.
