Couldn't look much more like Firefox if it tried. Miscrosoft were suing people for creating Vista skins...perhaps they deserve a bit of their own medicine?

They've put all the buttons in the wrong place. And I agree with Amp.

Yipee! Yipee! Yipee! A public test version. I will go download it right now!

I don't know if I will use it all the time, without reading more, just because it is a beta version and I don't know if it would be ok, but I will for sure download it. I wonder how secure it really is? (I know Jon said it wasn't because he likes FF, but FF sucks!)

I am a big fan of IE!

My software design teacher has been using it for a while (he is a MS beta tester...he had it before the public beta).

It is pretty unstable. As in, more unstable than Firefox.

Yes, I got a few errors, but I like it!

It seems to have replaced my version of IE 6 totally! When I click on my IE shortcut, it now opens the new one.

I've being trying it for a bit and it doesn't seem to be as problematic as FF when using a fair few tabs... normally 6-10 used tabs kills FF on my PC..

cardude.. you can go back by going to add/Remove programs > Tick Show Updates > Its one of them but my Taskbar just disappeared, so ill find out in a sec

EDIT: Well thats simple, its labelled clearly.. remove that andit'll be back to IE6

I spoke too soon. I had 2 errors when I first opened the browser. I then restarted my PC and began to browse the internet. I didn't get any more errors, and I thought that the browser worked great! I really am liking IE7.

Got it, used it, and straight back to firefox. It doesn't even forecast the weather.

Another mindless generic clone of another companies product, good one Microsoft.

Deerpark I would but im not sure it would be wise to put it on a pc with total amature like my parents using it.

Same to why im not using IE7, until its sort of reliable then its not safe around total Net retards lol :)

oh man..it looks like some crappy cross between a Roxio program...and some sort of Jukebox.....

gross, unless they have themes that's bound for ugly status....

It's a lot better than IE6. But anything really is.

It feels like IE is trying to keep up with FF. I never noticed anything new brought to the table.

I won't even bother downloading it. It's still Exploder. They couldn't clone FireFox any worse if they tried. This is honestly pretty pathetic. You would have though Microsoft would have had at least 1 original thing to come out with (although we already knew the new IE was obviously going to be a butthump of FireFox)

If you can't beat them, copy them.

Well the Beta 2 thats been out until now has apparently been a perview beta (which I was using), and now the real beta 2 is out: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.mspx (and there is support for 64 bit Windows now as well)

The UI changed a bit, and it might be a little bit faster on back/forward but load times are about the same. Also random crashes/hangs on inage rich pages have been worked out. Well worth a look. Low memory usage, too.

Just downloaded it this morning. I didn't like it when I downloaded it a while back... the user interface didn't really flow I thought. Everything seemed scattered all over the place.

It's starting to grow on me... any word about it's security compared to FF or Opera?

Well I don't have any "official" word, but I've not had any problems with viruses/spyware in the month or so I've been using it and I visit some dodgy sites ;) I also use Windows Defender always-on spyware protection.

It is definitely far superior to IE6, but that's just because the flaws havent been found yet.

I use the IE7 beta + Defender beta combination as well. Pretty strange that I'm putting my computer in the hands of beta software... oh well, I don't really have important data on this machine. Just using it to test out a bunch of stuff.
