This reminds me off star trek. The moon is coming out of warp.

I'm on the eastern edge of the Central time zone (extend the AL-GA border to the Gulf Coast, those on the left are Central. That's me.) and the moon rose just coming out of totality, I'm told. We had clouds on the eastern horizon, and ONLY the eastern horizon.

Well, I'm lying, because we had a really nice sunset in the western clouds, but overhead was clear, and I would have liked the moonrise to be clear, as well.

He he, I'm glad I'm not the only one who had great difficulty keeping the camera still enough to get a decent shot! Apparently my sister got some cool pictures, so hopefully she'll send me them tomorrow...

Still, it was a beautiful sight, even here in central London with all the light pollution... the skies were perfectly clear, and it was a rare and awesome sight!

Omnis
yep. It turns red because the sunlight bounces off of Mars and back to earth and back to the moon.
I didn't feel a thing...!

I thought it's because [wikipedia]The Devil Went Down to Georgia[/wikipedia], and threw some red clay at it.

I took 3 pics over 30 mins then my camera ran out of battery & it's a lythium battery :grumpy:

I'll try & get my photo's up soonish but I'm really busy at the moment. (I haven't even got round to renewing premium!)

I saw it, but my camera was 60 miles away. On the other hand, the fire was warm, so being outside wasn't so bad. Good to see.

Nice photos guys!
