Remember that the first Test Day is tomorrow (6th December) at 7:30pm AEST and will run through to 9:00pm AEST. Then, about an 1hr 45mins after the Test Day, my other series, will be holding it's final round so if you can make it, please try as it is set to be an absolute thriller!

Also, team entries will shut next Tuesday so get forming your teams!

My team entry;
McLaren-Honda Race Team // NW48 & (VACANT)

The Vacant seat is open to anyone, feel free to join! (We won't mess around like the real McLaren-Honda and keep putting it off!)

I still need a preferred time from the three options from you guys;
- Saturday 2:00pm GMT +1 // 7:00am EST // 11:00pm AEST
- Saturday 3:00am GMT +1 // 9:00pm EST // 12:00pm AEST
- Saturday 12:45am GMT +1 // 6:45pm EST // 9:45am AEST

And, @PJTierney, I see you have voted, would you like to join the series?
All of them are iffy, i'll see what the majority want and see what it comes down to 👍

I am considering it but I would need to make sure I have the free time before committing to anything.
If the spots fill up before I can say yes, that's okay by me. It would also of course depend on what start time you settle on.

What weeks/months are you planning on holding the season over?

December-January and possibly February if it comes to it.

ATTENTION!
First Test Day is on tonight at 7:30pm AEST all the way through to 9:00pm AEST. Then at 10:45pm AEST, my other series, the Renault Megane Trophy Challenge, will be holding it's final race at Bathurst, which you are all invited to. I hope to see at least 4 show for the test day for the Formula Fords tonight in an hour's time!

10:45 AEST, GMT??

How did it go @NW48 ? My house is packed lol, looks like no PS3 this weekend unless I can hook it up for an hour tonight on the living room TV and others in the house don't mind :/
Me, David and Tim. More than I expected as it was an unfavourable time slot. However, @bencrow_ & @fullgas62, were there reasons behind being online and not being in the room?

Ok, just a head's up for everyone, David and I have been discussing a few changes that need to be made in order for professionalism and for the sake of running smoothly and the proposed changes will be laid on the table on Tuesday. Until then, check out an updated GT6 Community Club and join it if you haven't already.

Also, I am no longer accepting preferred times as the deadline has been reached, if you haven't had a say yet, it is too late. The time/day will now be;
Saturday 12:45am GMT +1 // 6:45pm EST // 9:45am AEST

Okay, I can't make that, so won't be signing up.

Good luck with the series though, hope it goes well for you.

We will be starting the series this weekend, on the 13th at Saturday 12:45am GMT +1 // 6:45pm EST // 9:45am AEST. As a result, the final test day has been cancelled. Round 1 this weekend at the above time.

I won't be able to make the time slot, so I am pulling out of this series. I'm disappointed that I can't join this series. I hope that the series goes well

@PJTierney @bencrow_ What's the problem ? I mean if it's only a matter of few minutes or just an hour maybe we could tweak a little the starting time. I'm not promising anything though but we can throw an eye at it if you express a time preference. 👍

I'm in the UK and can't do AM races. My preferred time period is between 17.00 and 20.00 GMT, anything else I can't guarantee attendance.

Yeah I know what you mean, I'm on GMT+1 zone but with players from literally all around the world in this series it is impossible that everybody is 100% happy with the time slot.
Two hours later means 2 to 3am European time...

We will try to rethink another time slot but it is unlikely it'll change drastically.
Otherwise I will keep you guys informed.

Hi mate, i'm going to give this a miss . . . if i've read it correctly you are racing on Saturdays?? Cheers and good luck for the series

And you could have influenced the decision on times by actually picking a time and being committed to the series when I hosted a test day during a time slot you wanted and whilst you were online, but if that is how you go about committing to series', that's fine.

Yep, that's fine fullgas...

Just to clarify what David is saying, on terms of the room opening, the room will open at the designated time, but racing will not start until maybe 15mins later, all this and much more will be outlined in the massive changes coming tomorrow.

And, following the trend of F1-inspired team names, our latest recruit (who doesn't have a GTP ID) has opened "Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS". Just send a PSN PM to nurburgringk and say that you would like to join his Formula FOrd Team.

In regards to teams, team entries close tomorrow, if you haven't joined or started a team, I will attempt to evenly divide you up into your own teams.

THE CHANGES

Race Start: The race start will be a standing start with false start check, this is the best way to do it and also the most realistic.

Drivers: If a driver has deemed that they cannot go on, they should communicate this by typing "Retiring" into text chat. This may be the only time text chat is permitted in the race.

Rain-Drenched Conditions: In the rare instance that the track becomes "too wet", the Head of Race Control can suspend the race for a period of time for a restart. The Head of Race Control will simply type in "Race Suspended" in the text chat. In the case of a red flag (race suspension), all cars must return to pitlane and we will go from there. The most likely circumstance will be a restart with an adjusted weather and slight time adjustment. The laps to go will be the amount of laps left to go in the restarted race, as per usual.

Time Certainty: All rounds will be run with time certainty. All races must be done within the two hours that the room is up for. Failure for that to happen, the race that we are on when we hit 12:00pm AEST will be concluded immediately with positions taken from 1 lap back from when the race was called.

Generic Race Schedule:
9:50am AEST- Room Opens
10:15am AEST- Race 1 Begins
10:27am AEST- Race 1 ends, 5 minute break
10:32am AEST- Race 2 Begins
10:45 AEST- Race 2 ends, 10 minute break
10:55am AEST- Race 3 Begins
12:00pm AEST- Race Meet Must End (Time Certainty)

Rules Extension: Kerbs/Ripplestrips ARE part of the track. Until you put 3 or more wheels off the track, it is not leaving track limits.

I think that is all, please correct me if I'm wrong, @David Talle!

Also, Pre-Q has opened in our GT6 Community Club so be sure to join the club and qualify! I have given a run-down on what you need to do in the comments section for the event.

I have horrible network issues so I won't be able to join. Every time I go to community after a few minutes I get a message saying "network is offline" and it takes me back to the main menu. I'm pretty sure this is also the reason why I have not gotten my bonus in six months. I can go into lobbies though, and I actually have excellent internet speed. But I'm afraid you'll have to PM me all of the information. :(

May be on the server side. Yesterday some people had issues with the GT6 online features too.
If you don't already know, you can access the community features via your internet browser too (GT6 official website).

PreQ is just a TT qualifying session. You have until Friday to set a valid lap time. You can try as many time as you want, your fastest time will be used to determine the starting grid of race 1.
Otherwise you will start from the back of the grid.

Ok, as of last night, I was the only one who had Pre-Qualified. Please realise that you do not have to be in a room with anyone to Pre-Qualify, just enter the event, start your own room in the event and start the time trial. I hope to see a few more people have entered the race and have done Pre-Qualifying the next time I log on. I want to start this series on a good note!

Driver's Briefing // Round 1 // Tsukuba Circuit

Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the inaugural round or the (GTOR) International Formula Ford Championship! For our first round, we hit the famed time trial circuit of Tsukuba. The short and narrow layout is sure to cause some chaos along with some intensely close, wheel-to-wheel racing!

Estimated Race Schedule
9:50am AEST- Room Opens
10:15am AEST- Race 1 Begins
10:27am AEST- Race 1 ends, 5 minute break
10:32am AEST- Race 2 Begins
10:45 AEST- Race 2 ends, 10 minute break
10:55am AEST- Race 3 Begins
12:00pm AEST- Race Meet Must End (Time Certainty

We will not be doing Qualifying as a result of Pre-Qualifying so we can save some time there. The format will be 3 races each of 16 laps with no mandatory pitstops.

Tsukuba_track_map.png

Kerb Usage: An issue that has been brought up with me regarding Tsukuba is kerb usage. As stated in our list of changes, it is not violating track limits unless you put three or more wheels off the kerb into the dirt and gain an advantage.

Tyres: We will be using Racing Hards for this round and for the foreseeable future.

Weather: Weather will be in effect for this round with the 'Weather at Start' set to '20%' and 'Weather Changeability' set to 5.

Race Officials: This round's race officials will be;
Clerk of the Course- @NW48
Stewards- @DirtyNurbKing58, @David Talle

If you have any complaints about an incident in the race, please contact them with sufficient evidence of the incident.

Teams: Due to the lack of team entries, I will be bundling those who have not joined a team into an existing team or a new team. Please encourage others to join this series as we are currently in dire straits for entries.

Grid Format: For the first race, grid positions will be determined by your Pre-Qualifying positions. The second and third race will be reverse grid of finishing positions. Before each race begins, we will need to go out onto the track and arrange ourselves into the correct positions so the race can start.

I hope to see everyone there so we can start the series off on a good note rather than a sour one. Look out for my season preview coming in a matter of minutes!

Please note that the race is on Friday night for us westerners ( 11:50pm GMT / 6:50pm EST).

Also I will ask to every driver that plans to attend to copy/past and add their PSN name on the following sign up sheet so we know who to wait for :

1: ElCondensator

Don't forget to have fun !
