Hello everyone,
Miata13b/Alex here to announce The "I'll Owe You Won Racing" Endurance Team. What started as a jokingly funny name for Car number 68 in @flip55's inaugural Racing League the GTTCC GTTCC thread has become more of a reality after participating in @AJ 24 Heures Du Mans 24 Heures Du Man's thread
I founded this team envisioning something bigger then just racing. First and foremost the number 1 rule of "I'll Owe You Won Racing" is to have fun, laughing is highly sought. We are looking to gain the best experience out of any endeavour we commit to, the only way to give our best is the have the best possible time doing it.
"I'll Owe You Won Racing" started with the second series @flip55 put together, the GSCC The team grew with the addition of @draqua_fresh. During the preseason of the GSCC "I'll Owe You Won Racing" was presented with the chance to run a car in the GT-S class for the 24 Heures Du Mans. With this opportunity, @Nail-27, @euclid58, and @gtp_Tenderly joined the ranks. It was a valiant effort we put together for this young team although we fell short of our goals for the race. This was the leading moment into creating a program for every racer looking to run endurance races. We will also be fielding racers in shorter race series.
We follow and obey GTP OLR Guidelines .We also will uphold and obey any rules from governing bodies of Races we commit to. Once we can all run competitively under OLR rules we will take drivers into a farming league. A perfect place to start is with Flip's leagues, reasoning behind this is it is a cool laidback setting where there is no name calling nor bad attitudes. There is no reason to subject anyone to bad situations, nor will I stand for any team member putting down another racer be it one of our own or somebody random. There is no need for it and it turns out to waste energy negatively versus positively.
Once a team member is comfortable running in a league where racing incidents will occur we will start the development process. This will be done by helping out tuning cars, helping out with new techniques, and helping out with track knowledge. Trust me I can always use it just as much as the next guy who is faster. In due time once things are starting to pickup a pace, a weekly spec class race will be formed. In this spec class of racing we will be having two divisions running. The two division will be divided by a tuning and non tuning class. Both cars will be put through a Balance of Performance to ensure both division will be at best battling it out for top honors. The first Beta will probably not bring those results, but every evolution of the spec series will draw it closer and closer to that.
In closing the whole reason for this thread is to have an open public space for those interested in a funny group of guys that love cars, love racing, love joking and want to compete with the best endurance racers GTP and GT6 has to offer. Things don't happen right away, but now we have laid our first concrete slab in the foundation for "I'll Owe You Won Racing"
Please feel free to leave a response regardless if you are team member, a non team member, a Club or league own/operator. We are always welcoming a good chat.
