Im gettin' a new ride!

Hey what's up guys?

You probably haven't noticed, but i haven't been posting here for a while...anyway...

The story goes something like this....

I met some guy (his name is Tony) at Hot Import Nights a couple weeks ago and he came up to me after seeing my car on display. Well, he offered to buy it off of me. At first, I was thinkin' "What is this guy talking 'bout? Has he seen what i've done to me car?" Well as it turns out he offered to by the car off of me for $21,950 approx. $9000 less than what my parents paid for it when they originally bought it. I have decided to sell my car to him (*sigh* including all the upgrades *sigh*), but the good news (at least for me...) is that I am planning on buying a *NEW* car. I am pretty much set on what I will buy......a 2002 Honda Accord 2-Dr.!

The Accord I am going to buy (hopefully tommorrow, just in time for President's Day weekend) is the 4-cyl. EX 185(?) HP model. I have approx. $4000 I have set aside to be spent on the car. You might be wonderin' where the hell I get all this money. I work!

Anyway, I will keep you all posted on this matter...not that any of the GTF members would care, but Josh, Jordan, ZeroCool85, Tazz575, and some others (the original GTP crew) who have seen my car know that it is quite worth spending $22,000 on!!

I would've tried to bulk up the price a few thousand dollars.. to makbe $26,000... that seems a bit more reasonable.

yeah, i tried....26,000 would have been pushin' it considering how old the car is and the mileage (45K)

Well you had to have spent well over $10,000 on it for all the stuff you did to it. I dont think it would've been pushing it..

I'm not sure that the new accord EXs have a higher horsepower engine than the LX. Last time I checked Hondas website they didn't... that was the four door, not sure if there is a difference.

I think if I had that kinda money to spend on a car I would get an RSX, now thats a nice Honda . Not that there is anything wrong with an accord.

Actually the RSX is an Acura, but close enough.

I would save up and buy a nice car that no one's seen modded yet, I don't know of any Ricer though.

Honda.com said the EX Inline 4 has 150hp @5700rpm...



Anyways, with all the stuff you did to it there's no way I'd sell it for 9 grand less...




Anyways, it's your decision... Both are beautiful cars...

i wouldn't spend 500$ on taillights for a first mod... but i think you're building a showcar, so performance is not what you're going for!

I think I would just stay with your 3.2TL or whatever it was, seems nicer than an accord, even a new one. Unless of course you just want to try something new .
