You're only allowed to have 100 cars in your garage at any time. This is a huge stinker for people like me, who pile up their garages with every car that looks good and end up getting too attached to all of them to sell any. I'm at 98 cars, I need to sell a few, but there's none I want to get rid of.

Welcome, PainKillah. I've only been playin since March and I'm still obsessed. Yeah, you're only allowed 100 cars per garage so you'll have to get multiple memory cards if you're a collector. I have 10 cards JUST for GT2...each one has a theme: there's the yuppy dad/soccer mom garage, the white trash American muscle, the Vañilla Rice garage (all tricked-up Hondas & Acuras), etc.
Anyways, welcome. this site rules..most other GT2 sites are dead or lame. This is just one of 2 sites I've found that still actively discusses GT2 and not beer and babes or something.

PS1/PSX 1x Memory Cards are still quite cheap; I bought two for $8 a liitle over 2 years ago. I can only imagine they are even cheaper now. If you really get into GT2, I'd suggest at least a second or sixth card to try all the cars out for yourself.
Of course, PS2 mem cards aren't much cheaper than they were 3-4 years ago...

yea ive had my ps1 since it came out and i bought gt2 for 1 dollar a a yard sale this summer. ive been hooked since i played it. i cant beleive ppl are still playing it even though theres gran turismo 4 now....

Well I was into GT1 from December of last year till March. After awhile I simply got bored with it cuz of all the Japanese cars and not enough from other countries. I don't have a PS2 yet so no GT3 for me yet. It doesn't matter: now taht Christmas is coming GT3 has been sold out of all the stores in my area.

White trash are not the only people who like American muscle cars. Muscle cars are legends in and of themselves, from the 427 Cobras and Corvettes to the Hemis and Chevy small-block and big-block V8s that power them. They are extremely capable cars (you should see how my Hemicuda handles!).
And not all Hondas and Acuras are ricers, a ricer is a car that is designed to look faster than it goes. The Hondas and Acuras I have in GT2 pack a major punch.

I too play GT1 and 2 using the Epsxe emulator, the picture looks great coming from my ATI Radeon 8600XT video card on my 19 inches monitor.
But the best picture I have with GT2 is on my Dreamcast using the Bleemcast emulator ,and the loading time from the GT2 CDROM on the Dreamcast is faster than with the Playstation1.

i dont know about you guys but i love muscle cars... shlebys, challengers, superbirds, and all the rest. I wish the had included more in the game. also i wish they had included other brands like buick, caddilac, ferrari, lamborgini, and chrysler. i dont have a ps2 because my parents wont let me get one even though i had the money... one of the down sides to being 14... parents...

Amen. Yeah, the lack of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, and Porsche is totally ridiculous but there's nothing we can do about it 'cause stupid Need 4 Speed has the rights to those cars.
Being 14 isn't all that bad..it just seems like it..time goes quickly. I wish I was 14 again, I woulda done so much different. I was pretty clueless back then.

I think he means to just enjoy what's in the game..reward, used, new..whatever! There's so many of them I've only driven a third of the cars in the game and I've had it for over 8 months now.
Speaking of PS1 games, tonite I was over at a friend's house and he has some combat game that features all different types of tanks...Shermans, Panzers, Tigers, etc. Anyways, I forget the name of it but I couldn't believe how HORRIBLE the graphix were in it! Makes me appreciate GT2 a ot more, now!

As stated several time before, a memory card will hold 100 cars. I have two. One is for my specialty cars (i.e. Escudo, Pennzoil GT-R, Taisan STP Viper, etc.), and the other is for my road cars. I have just over 50 Specialties, and almost 70 regular cars.

No I mean the hidden cars, depending on what version of the game you have there are different cars or car bodies and there is also a true CLK race car. The downside is that you need a cheat cartridge to get at them but they are quite easy to incorporate into the game and with the said cheat cartridge you can create Hybrid cars.Parnelli Bone

If you do a search in the forum you will be surprised what you might find. Have you played GT 3? If so have you found the Porsche 911?flamingwonkyHmmm hidden cars.... Oh i hope you didn't take this seriously! There's no milk truck in Gran Turismo 2 or 3..that's an old GT myth started by someone years ago! It goes perfectly with the drag strip theory, but the milk truck is way more ridiculous!
