I'm on around day 210 and I have just recently bought the 22b. The crappy purple-blue colour was so annoying (and ugly 
) I ended up spending a few grand in weight reduction and then another 85,000 for racing car modification to get rid of the colour. The racing modficiation in blue looks so sweet.

My 22B is a great Impreza. I've only done the two modfications, which aren't much really, and it can come first in the Super Touring Cars Cup, against all race modified, suped up cars. The limit is around 491 or something like that, it has around 264. 
Whatever it's horsepower is when you buy it is what mine has. 
It is not the greatest car, but one of my favourites.

I ended up getting 2. One is race modified and the other will be non-race so I can race them both in the Impreza races.

In the used car lot at Subaru. It shows up there every once in a while. At Toyota in the used car lot you can sometimes find a very rare Toyota 2000GT (which costs something like 122,000cr). And also over at Nissan in there used car lot you can sometimes come across a Datsun 240z.

The Subie 22B is awsome IF and only if you get the full race transmission. If you don't the durn thing won't top 150 mph cos it's geared to be quick, not fast.
If you work on the licenses first. Never exiting out before you complete them, you can get up to IA in only 6 days indicated. Then you can make money more quickly. (Especially if you win all golds in B license test. The S2000 can be adequately tweaked) to handle the 394 hp race at Tahiti RD in 80's sport cars cup for the initial 10,000cr). Sell the Skyline you win there for the 125,000cr. Then start looking for the 22b on day 8-9. If you get lucky and find it before day 100 it is under 52,000 cr. If you wait, it'll set you back 55,000cr.
Yes it is a pain to attempt the Gold licenses, but a car you win is sweeter than a car you buy. Besides with only 10k to work with you can by a R32 Skyline (non GT-R) or RX-7 infini and have little left over for mods. The fuller your purse is to start things off the better.
Another option is to sell the S2000. but then you will only have 22,000. But you'll be able to by a used WRX, or a newer RX-7.
The possibilities are endless, have fun
