How many people have died because of the mohammad cartoons? How many buildings were burned down? All because of a cartoon...

Here, read about it for yourself; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jyllands-Posten_Muhammad_cartoons_controversy

Let me do some simple math for you.

Estimated number of protesters= c. 1,000,000
Total Muslim population= c. 1.57 billion
Approximate percentage of total population protesting= (1,000,000/1,570,000,000)x100= 0.06%

While I do not condone the protests at all, your way of attributing the whole Muslim world to this (which by the way makes up 23% of the world population) is absolutely idiotic.

Look beyond what you see on the news:rolleyes:

We live with a distorted media attempting to lessen the fallout from 2 wars with middle eastern countries and keep us ready for potentially more.

When people hear about 'godhatesf**s' they hear about the Westboro Baptist Church and it's extremist views, very easy to separate from mainstream Christianity. When we hear about things like the carton protests and such we hear about Islam, no distinction from the rest of the population. I doubt your average person even understands the difference between a Sunni and Shi'a or what the distinction of being Kurdish is.

It's very important to understand that Islam is not a huge monolith, rather it has many variants, including the radicals who make up >1% of the population.

Generally, the media finds the radicals and the terrorists much more 'sexy' than the ones who speak out against them.

One of the worst things that the mainstream media channels did immediately after the 9/11 attacks was to show those few Palestinians who celebrated (And we are still not sure if they were actually celebrating about 9/11). It's effectively a form of media flamebaiting.

There are people who complain that us "moderates" never speak out against the radicals. There was a large anti-terrorism protest held in South Asia quite recently. It was all over the front page news on regional channels. Yet when I looked around the Mainstream news websites, it was on the friggin 10th page:ouch:

True. Because what we see in the news is purposely contorted to fit whatever agenda they may be chasing, and is otherwise walking a thin line between not telling the whole truth and being flat wrong.

Perhaps these extreme religious guys are not certified nuts though, they are just obeying their own laws/views. In a criminal way.
I mean if I was mad and had those views and would always carry a sketch pad with me and a selection of coloured pencils, and a knife.
I would stop and greet passing shoppers in the street and ask them to draw a picture of the prophet, if they didn't know how, i would tell them to just guess, and inform there is a prize if they do...
If they do draw, I stab them dead. That's their prize for insulting the faith.
I did my duty by removing the unfaithful from this world.
What annoys me is these people are not actually full on crazy. Moderate madness is rife.

Your mind is damaged. This persona of being different may actually be you. If you honestly think you can justify extremism to this degree, you must be overlooking that being fully willing to violate someone's right to life over a difference opinion is the same as how sociopaths justify their murders. Bending the majority's context of morality to your own personal morality is one of the strongest indications of a damaged mind.

Your reasoning is broken. I am not justifying anything apart from your weaknesses.
A damaged mind is an option, but there is also the element of evolution, mutation of the mind which exhibits different values in the brain. If it is successful it is a stronger and better way for nature to take it's course, for that period of evolution. If your not a psychopath these days you maybe a dying breed. Time to jump ship now Azuremen, before it's too late for you.
